Her grace, like the ocean's waves,
tempo kept easy like a current,
her clarity, transparent like the ocean blue,
she dances only for you.
Her past she may never escape,
in her current there will always be wakes,
with all she has left she keeps her vitality,

This short poem was my interpretation of what a brutal relationship is like. Many people go through tragic times, but it's how you move foward that gets you out. You grow as a person.
In my position I was the girl trying to escape from my mother being a Meth addict, and even though it was tough, I kept my beauty and optimism, when I said "She dances only for you" , that was me saying although my mom screwed up, I still love her deep down and dedicate everything I do to her.
