The elevator door opened.

Maybe it's the way she walked,
Ow,
Straight into my heart and stole it.

He looked at us strangely yet his black orbs had an amused glint in them. He reminded me of the lead male protagonist in most mangas. Black shaggy hair, tall and lean. He was - is extremely cute. I've seen him around school before, but never paid attention to him. I didn't care much. I was too busy enjoying my own school life.

Just like then. Me and my gang, the Loony Tunes.

After school, as always, we were in the elevator. Sat down on the four corners. We had nothing to do when waiting to be picked up from school. So we had to create ways to cure our boredom.

Waiting for the doors to open, revealing our newest victim.

Nothing much is done to them. We just sing at the top of our lungs, creating a racket, and eventually making their ears bleed.

Though, sometimes we don't get any customers. The sight of us sitting on the elevator's floor frightens them. I don't understand why, we weren't going to fight them and shout 'FATALITY' at the end. We were just singing, quite - very loudly. Maybe, hearing us sing was an absolute torture that they'd rather walk down the stairs or wait for the other lift.

That day was no different, no one came in. But loony 2's younger sister had spotted us when she was waiting and had decided to join us with her friend. So the elevator was even more crowded that day. It was full. Just enough space for one more person.

The next time the door opened, it was him.

We sang, and he went in. Still with his entertained eyes. I thought, "Oh, it's that guy. Salty's ex-crush," and greeted you with a cheerful, high-pitched voice. I had cringed at my voice, it sounded overly fake and sarcastic. But then again, everything I say these days sound sarcastic, even though I wasn't.

I was sitting at the right hand corner of the elevator, so when he came in, he was beside me. We were on the 6th floor, descending towards the 1st floor, which isn't much, but this elevator was really old, so it took a while.

Thinking about that, I looked up at him and asked, "Don't you feel awkward standing there alone?"

He smiled crookedly at me, and I was stunned by how attractive he looked. Sure, I thought he was cute, but when he smiled, it was on a whole other level. I always did like smiles on people though; I just thought they looked lovelier than their stoic faces.

He answered me, "Yeah, it does feel quite awkward," and I thought that the conversation would end there and he'll leave. I might've given him a cheeky reply back, but that didn't happen.

He crouched down and sat with us. He gave me another adorable smile and I just grinned back at him. I started liking him since, but it wasn't anything serious, unlike now. The door opened then, and I was a bit disappointed that the ride was over.

I wanted to keep staring at his face, but that didn't stop me from saying bye. A chorus of farewells, thank you, and see you soon were hollered from our little group and he shouted a bye as well. His body was facing towards the exit, but his head was turned over his shoulder, smiling at us.

The door closed and our view of him was gone. We started talking about him instantly, baffled that he went and sat with us. No one has done that before. Actually, not a lot had even gone in to begin with.

We went out a while after that, and loony 2's younger sister left with her friend. I asked the looney tunes afterwards what his name was, and they asked why I wanted to know. I told them the truth; they were going to find out anyway. I told them that I found him cute. They started teasing me and wouldn't tell me his name. I didn't really care so I just joined in the laughter and left it at that.

I didn't think about him for the rest of the day.
