A black wolf softly trotted through an old abandoned four wheeler trail, birds sang their songs above the she wolf's head as she slowly reached the end of the trail which opened to an abandoned train track. To her left was and old rusty decaying train a few miles away, it hadn't moved since the humans disappeared which was over a century ago now....with the humans sudden disappearance an eerie slience went over the planet. There was no longer the sound and smell of cars speeding on roadways in the distance, no longer the sound of unclear chatter of groups of the young and old humans, no longer the smell of burning forests for when a clumsy human forgot about their bonfire and the sirens of red metal machines that came to put out the fires. No longer was the humans waste thrown about when they were too lazy to care about it.
No longer were animals scared to wander the woods when the leaves starting falling out of fear of being killed to fill a human's empty belly later that evening. Forests were no longer filled with sounds of roaring wood cutting machines as trees were tugged away. The only distributions now were squirrels running and chasing each other through the high branches of oaks and birds singing and the occasional blue jay screeching threats at the passing animals below.
No longer were humans disturbing the life of the wild.
