Clementine's Sister Season 1

Chapter 2

Y/N P.O.V

I can't believe I let her down. She was bitten... I think? I watched as Clem rose from beside me. Everything was blurry. I remember her being bit. Was she? No she couldn't have been. I then hear one of the growls that come from those things. But this time it wasn't from below the tree house. It was right next to me. What? I'm so confused... Clementine rose and turned around and look like one of those things. NO! "No,no,no,no!!!!! What happened Clem?!?" She kept reaching out to grab me. "Urrrgggg!" How could she have been bitten? "Ahhhhhhh!" Clem grabbed me by the shoulders. I was frozen in fear. Just as she was about to bite me.

"Y/N! Y/N!" I shot up and realised that it was a nightmare. I looked at Clem and immediately pulled her into a hug. She was surprised.  "Y/N are you alright? You-" I cut her off. "Oh Clementine I'm so glad your okay. I'm so glad your okay..." She is all that I have left in this world apart from our parents but if I'm honest I don't think that they made it. 

"You- you were screaming and I... and I didn't know what to do," Clem said. "but I think you made some of them come." As I listened to Clem she was right I could hear the growling of the monster things down below. "I- I had a nightmare." I told Clem. She looked at me with concern and she replied with, "What was it about?" I looked at her thinking I should tell her not. I lied. "I thought I was ermmm kidnapped. Yes kidnapped." I don't think she bought as Clementine gave me the look that she knew I was lying. I always said she got that of mum.

Luckily, she decided not to push it forward any further. The day went on as usual and we stayed in the treehouse with nothing to do and we ate some of the scarce amount of food we have. We heard the regular gunshots and screaming around lunch time and that got rid of the things that where below us but I could tell it scared Clementine. To be honest all of the screaming and gunshots scare me too.

We where eating tea when Clem and I heard a mans voice outside. "Let me in! Give me your things and no one will get hurt!" he shouted. Clem just looked at me and I didn't know what to do in this situation other than to whisper to her, "Clem don't make a noise okay? Lets just stay in here until he goes." She quietly agreed with me and held on closely. We just sat in the corner listening to the man outside shouting until we heard those all to familiar growls. Which gladly scared the man off.

Its starting to get dark now and I need to tell Clementine about a plan I have thought of. I looked over to her and she is playing with a stone that's up here. "Clem come here a second." She looked over and smiled and made her way over to me. "Have a look at our food and drink,2 Her head turned "Its not looking too good is it." She looked back at me. "No it isn't. What are we going to do Y/N?" I sigh as I look at her. "Tomorrow I have to go out of the treehouse and see if I can find some for us. Maybe I can find someone who might want to help?" Her eyes widened. "I'm coming with you right?"

"No, you're not Clementine. Its too dangerous. We don't know what those things are like except that they eat people like us." Her eyes started to tear up. "But I don't want you to get eaten Y/N." I looked at her knowing that there is a slight possibility of this. I've seen it first hand when it started. I rushed Clem up to treehouse and I had to go back down to get food from the house and I saw people screaming and... and.  

"Y/N? Hello?" I looked back up at Clem. I didn't even realise that I zoned out. "I need to look for food Clem or both of us will starve do you understand? I don't want to leave you but I won't be long and I will leave you the hammer to protect yourself in case anything bad happens. What ever you do, don't come after me okay?" I explain as I hug her. She just nods her head in response.

"Come on now its late." Clementine then curled up next me like we have done the past few nights. "Goodnight Y/N. Love you." I smiled and said "Love you too Clem." We then both drifted of to sleep.
