10: Party Time

Peter pov

I feel sick to my stomach.
All of the avengers were in his house and they had no idea that I even exist.

What if they don't like me? What if they think it was a bad idea adopting me? Will I get sent back to the orphanage? I thought as I stood behind two doors that would soon open to my fathers' colleagues.

I waited for one of my fathers to open the doors and every second that passed made me feel more anxious.

Soon, I heard dad's voice flood the room as he took the mic and caught the crowd of S.H.E.I.L.D agents and avengers.

"So Steve and I have an announcement to make before we get this party started." Dad said.

"We have adopted a 14 year old son." Pops announced as the room gasped in shock.

"Peter can you come out please." Dad asked as the two doors opened. Then something happened that I never thought would. Thor walked up to me and gave me a hug.

"Umm hi my name is Peter." Peter said as the god wrapped his arms around me.
Thor took a step back "I know young one. Great costume by the way." He beamed as I wore my Loki costume. The rest of the room was silent.

"Hi my name is Natasha but you can call me Nat." Black widow smiled as she shook my hand.
"I-It's an honour to meet you Nat." I stuttered. Stupid nerves.

All of the avengers greeted my with warm smiles and lots of hugs. Natasha didn't dress up for Halloween and decided she wanted to go as herself. Clint wore a Robin Hood outfit which made me laugh. Thor said that he came as a midgardian being which resulted in him wearing normal clothes. Bruce Banner came as Albert Einstein. Sam painted his arm grey with face paint, wore a black wig, and put dark eyeshadow all over his face and claimed he was Bucky. However, my favourite costume was Bucky's. He wore pink fairy wings and claimed to be Sam.

Rhodey and Dad just wore their iron armour and pops ended up wearing WWII military uniform. I soon met Wanda and vision who also didn't decide to dress up. Wanda showed me her cool powers and I was desperate to show her mine.

Once all of the avengers had finished introducing themselves, the party began. It was quite overwhelming seeing the avengers act normally rather than like superheroes. After all, they are only human. Well except vision and Thor who lives up to the name of god.

Thor tried to get me to dance. It was embarrassing but funny at the same time. Afterwards, he offered me alcohol which pops quickly declined for me. Apparently Asgardian boys are allowed to drink alcohol from the age of 5 which sounded dangerous.

The strangest part of the night was when Thor asked me to call him uncle Thor and soon enough, all the avengers had asked my to call them my aunties/uncles.

How did I go from no family to the greatest family ever?!

Sam and Bucky were arguing over something to do about who gets to be my godfather. Pops soon settled on them both but they didn't seem too impressed with that answer.

I eventually found dad who was talking to Nat about parenthood and how great it was. Nat seemed shocked when Dad said that he had given up drinking.
"Holy Thor! This kid sure did make a good impression on you." She laughed.

Dad and I walked over to a man dressed as a pirate. "Hello, my name is Director Nick Fury." The man, apparently not dressed as a pirate, said offering his hand that I shook.
"H-hi"  I replied feeling very intimidated.
The pirate man then turned to dad. They were talking about a mission that I was uninterested in listening about until...

"Ah yes I have recruited the Spider-Man guy." Dad said.

"S-S-Spider-Man?" I asked, deciding to join the conversation considering it was about me.
"Yes. Have you heard of him?" Fury asked me.
"Yes... I um saw a video of him on YouTube."
Dad smiled, "what do you think of him?"
"I-I think he's really cool." I replied.
"Hmm. I guess. Although he sounds like a girl." Dad laughed.
"NO HE DOESN'T HE'S A MAN! IT'S IN THE TITLE!" I answered so aggressively it must have sounded like shouting. Thanks to the unbelievably loud music, I didn't draw any attention to myself.
"Okay kid. Geez calm down." Dad said, confused.
"Okay then, that's my cue to leave." Pirate guy said. "Goodbye Stark. Goodbye Mr....?"
"Oh Parker-Stark-Rodgers." I beamed.
"Well that's a mouthful." Fury muttered as he walked away. Dad wouldn't of heard him but I did due to the enhanced hearing I have.

The party was in full swing. The music blared out from the speakers, piercing my eardrums. I needed a break from the noise. "Pops, I'm going to get some air!" I shouted over the music.
"Okay Peter be safe!" He shouted back.

I pushed my way through the crowd of superheroes and agents until I found the door. The fresh air hit me as the music faded into the background.

"Is that you tonyson?" Thor asked as he turned around to face me. He sat on a bench facing the stars.
"It's Peter but yeah uncle Thor."
"Perfect timing Peter." Uncle Thor replied.

Suddenly, a flash of light appeared almost knocking me off of my feet.  Once the rainbow flash of light had gone, a figure stood in the centre of smoke. Loki? OMG LOKI!!!!!!
"Ahh good to see you brother!" Thor boomed.
"I wish I could say the same." Loki smirked as I quietly fanboyed in the background. "So what is it you wanted to tell me, brother?" Loki asked.
"I would like you to meet Peter, Tony and Steve's son." Thor smiled.
Loki turned to me, smiled, and turned back to Thor. "Is he dressed as me?" Loki asked.
"Y-Yes Mr.Loki." I replied. Loki laughed to himself and walked towards me and... hugged me? The god of mischief hugged me? OH MY THOR THE GOD OF MISCHIEF HUGGED ME!!!
"What on Midgard is going on?" Thor said. "For 1070 years I try to hug you and I get stabbed!" He a shouted.
"Yes but I like this boy." Loki said releasing me.
"Don't take it too hard uncle Thor." I laughed.
"Uncle Thor?" Asked Loki.
"Yes the avengers and I are the boy's uncles and aunts." Thor replied.
"I want to be uncle Loki."
"Sure that would be awesome." I beamed. The coolest person I have ever heard of is now my uncle.

What the frickety frack is going on?!!!!

"I am afraid I must be off before Heimdall notices my absence and snitches on me to Odin. Goodbye young Peter I hope to see you again soon." Loki said before hugging me once again.
"Goodbye brother." Thor said.
"See ya." Loki saluted him which made me chuckle. Immediately, the rainbow light flooded the area once again and suddenly, he was gone.
"I am confuseth." A voice spoke behind Thor an I. We turned around to see Dad, Pops, and all of the other avengers staring at us with their mouths wide open.
"I, too, am confuseth, Stark." Thor said. "1070 years of being his brother and I get no sign of affection. None at all. Then young Peter appears and suddenly he's the loving person I'd always hoped he was."
"Well, he does have that effect on everyone." Pops laughed as he walked towards me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "It's chilly, Peter, we should go inside."
"Okay Pops. Uncle Thor, are you coming?" I asked politely.
"No, sorry Tonyson. I must go after my brother. I am not quite sure what just happened. Goodbye Peter! Goodbye colleagues!" Thor exclaimed before opening the rainbow light thing, which I later found out was called the bifrost, and disappeared.

The rest of the avengers apart from Pops and Dad went back to the party.
"Why Tonyson?" Pops asked.
"What do you mean, Steve."
"Why not Steveson?" Pops asked making dad and I laugh.
"Come on, lets go back to the party." Dad said before leading us back inside.

That night was awesome.

I started writing this chapter the week before Halloween so you can imagine how much I'm struggling with it. Any ideas/ suggestions please just comment. Finally, RIP Stan Lee. Excelsior!
