I looked back at where Zayn was sitting and he was gone. Stunned, I looked at Harry who was watching Arron like a hawk. I didn't even have to know what Arron looked like, or his last name to know that the boy standing at the front of the cafeteria was the Arron that took my parents.

Harry stood while everyone went up to Arron and Jimmy. Harry grabbed my arm gently, but tight enough so I would know that it was time to go.

I stood up and followed him to the side door of the cafeteria that led outside. Harry slowly inched the door open and we looked outside, it was raining.

Harry groaned and looked back at me, "Ready to run back to your house?"

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "You're crazy right? I thought you had a car?"

"Nope," Harry looked back up to the front of the lunch room making sure that everything was still going smoothly, "We need to leave now, I'm not sure what will happen if we don't."

I simply just nodded and Harry opened the door wider, only to be stopped by a hand on his shoulder. Both of us turned around quickly and saw Mr. Parnell, our geometry teacher, standing before us.

"And where are you two going?" He stared us down. I swallowed and looked at Harry hoping he could do something, "I didn't know you were the type to skip school, Mr. Styles."

Out of no where Zayn came inside, from out in the pouring rain. "They weren't trying to leave Mr. Parnell, they were both trying to get me to come back inside."

And with that, Mr. Parnell walked away without another word. I found it strange.

"That wasn't fair, Zayn," Harry sighed, "You can't just control people like that."

"Oops," Zayn chuckled, grabbing my arm, "C'mon Violet, I'll take you home".

I looked at Harry and he nodded, signaling that it was okay to leave. I followed Zayn and we ran back to my house in the pouring rain.

Once we got inside I was drenched with water, Zayn was as well. I could tell he was about to say something but I started before him.

"I can't keep doing this Zayn!" I shouted at him.

Zayn turned a few lights on before turning back to me. "What do you mean?"

I was crying now, there was no use in holding it in anymore, "I don't want to have to worry about my safety! I don't want to deal with vampires for gods sake!"

I was hysterical. Zayn didn't argue, he wiped a few of my tears away and moved some of my wet hair out of my face, "I know it's hard Violet but you have to believe that I will handle this." he said softly.

"No!" I moved away from him, "You don't know how hard it is! Do you know what it's like to deal with a vampire?! To have your parents taken from you!? To have your friends making fun of you while you're right there!? Everyone is starting to think I'm a fucking maniac!" I was now throwing my arms everywhere.

Zayn shuffled from side to side as I ranted. He probably wasn't sure what to say to me. I knew I shouldn't be yelling at him, because none of this is really his fault, but he was the only person I could blame.

"You should just turn me into a vampire." I said to Zayn.

Zayn shook his head, "No, No, I'm not doing that to you."

"Why not?! I could fight with you! We could fix everything together! I don't care about anything else I just want things to go back to the way they were before!"

"Things won't go back to the way they were before if you're a vampire!" Zayn shouted at me as the power went out. I could tell because the few lights that were on suddenly shut off. "Violet, go into your room and lock the door." Zayn said quietly, but there was an urgency in his voice.

"But-"

"GO!"

I didn't say another word. I ran up to my room, slammed the door shut and locked it.

Of course, me being me, I just thought it was a power outage because of the rain. But Zayn knew it was so much more than that.

I backed away from my door and I felt a cold wind go up my arm. I looked at my window to find out that it was open. Quickly, I closed the window and locked it in one swift motion.

I closed the curtain and left out a soft breath. Just before hearing a creak behind me.

I was frozen.

Before I could make my next move a hand was placed over my mouth and another around my waist.

"Hello, Violet. It's nice to finally meet you face to face." The voice sent chills up my body.

I knew who it was. I knew who he was.

As I was about to thrash around and escape his grasps I felt a sharp pain in my side, and everything went black.

~

I awoke, only to realize I wasn't at home. I was in a big white room, strapped to a chair by my wrists and ankles.

I struggled to get my hands free but obviously having no luck at all whatsoever.

It was almost like people were watching me because right as I was done trying to escape the door on the right side of the room opened. And out stepped a man with dark black hair, and deep brown, piercing eyes.

Arron.

I watched intently as he closed the door behind him, smiling at me, "Nice of you to join us Violet."

I cringed, "Why am I here?"

"Questions will be asked later." Arron took a few steps towards me.

"I don't give a shit, tell me why I'm here! and tell my why you came to my school!" I groaned as a pain resided in my lower stomach.

Arron smirked, "I told you, questions will be asked later." he walked over to a small window that was sat in front of me.

A little bit of sunlight was shining through from under the curtain. Confused, I watched Arron slowly pull off the curtain.

As soon as the sunlight hit me my skin started to burn. I couldn't think about anything else other than the pain it gave me. I threw my head back and screamed in agony. I could feel my skin bubbling up and steaming.

"STOP! PLEASE STOP IT!" I screamed in pain.

Arron laughed menacingly, "You got what you wanted, Violet. You're a vampire."
