At the end of the school day I fled the school grounds. I didn't want to run into, Zayn. I wanted to get home before something could happen.

I was now afraid of, Zayn Malik.

I don't think I believed the 'vampire' thing but there was definitely something different about, Zayn. The word 'vampire' would explain, Zayn perfectly.

For example, the one time in the car, when he had the blood on his mouth. I'm not sure if he really just liked his steak bloody, I've never heard of anyone who has. But maybe, Zayn didn't eat steak...maybe he ate something else.

Also, his "super strength". The time when he punched, Liam and he fell to the ground immediately. Only with one single punch he was passed out on the sidewalk and he had a slight concussion. I don't think anyone could do that in a single punch.

How he heard my name at the club, it was still strange to me. I couldn't even hear my friends yelling my name over the music, yet, Zayn could. And how he gets from place to place so fast. One minute he's not there, you turn around, and he shows up. Almost out of thin air. The way his eyes change color, it was all very strange.

It was strange how many qualities of, Zayn all linked up to the term 'vampire'. Yet it's hard to believe that vampire's could be real. They're fake. It's all fantasy, like werewolf's and ghosts, things like that. Vampire's couldn't be real...could they?

As I left the school I ran home as fast as I could. Hoping no one would be able to catch up with me, not even, Zayn.

I finally got home without anyone following me, or stopping me. I locked the front door behind me and threw my bag onto the couch as I walked into my house. I sighed loudly and went into my kitchen, hoping to find a snack.

I opened the fridge and as I did I heard a rustling noise come from in the living room. I stopped in my tracks, waiting to hear another noise for reassurance that I wasn't crazy. This time the floor creaked, then I knew I wasn't crazy. Someone was in my house.

I silently closed my fridge and tip toed across the kitchen to the steak knives. I swiftly pulled one out and held it at my side. I slowly walked out of the kitchen and into the hallway, standing up against the wall.

I quickly turned to jump out at the person in my house but as I looked, no one was there. I stood up and placed my left hand, the one without the knife, on my hip. I furrowed my eyebrows.

I stifled a laugh, "I'm going crazy" I said to myself.

I slowly turned around, being startled by none other than, Zayn standing a few feet behind me. He smiled and I clutched the knife harder in my hand.

"You're not going crazy, Violet. I'm right here" Zayn reached out, trying to grab my arm but I took a step back.

"Stay away from me you...you freak!" As I said the words I watched Zayn flinch slightly.

Zayn shook his head, stepping closer to me. Every step he took to get closer I took a step back to get farther away. I soon stepped up so my lower body was against the back of the couch. I held the knife close to my face as, Zayn got closer.

Zayn tried reaching for my hand but I jerked it away, "Violet, I'm not going to hurt you"

"How did you get in my house?!" I shouted, "Why did you come here, when you know I knew your secret?!"

Zayn looked down, then back up at me, "because I trust you". I didn't say anything, I stood there with my knife, ready to attack at any moment. Zayn put his hands up and took a step away from me, "Violet, I won't hurt you. If I wanted to I would've already"

I slowly put the knife down, "Are you what I think you are?"

"And what do you think I am?" Zayn cocked up an eyebrow. I didn't open my mouth, Zayn licked his lips, his voice coming out like a whisper, "A vampire?"
