Act III: Enslavement

"So if you're a vampire, how are you able to walk around in the daylight?"

"I'm half human, Vexx. That's why my skin isn't pale and how I'm able to get nutrition from things other than blood."

"What 'bout you, Athena? What are you?"

"I'm a demon, like our master."

The subordinates of the Demon King were currently sitting outside the tunnel that there master had descended into for about ten minutes. In those ten minutes, the three servants had began to talk to one another to better understand one another.

"What about you, Vexx?" Lilith asked. "What species of monster are you?"

"Me? I'm a draugr. I eat human flesh like ribs... I especially love the human ribs." he replied with a prideful smile on his face.

Lilith just gagged in disgust while Athena did nothing. Conversations like this didn't bother her one bit. Things like that were to be expected when talking with inhumans such as Vexx.

"How do you think Tatsuo's doing?" Vexx asked.

"He'll be fine. He may be stupid, but he's the strongest man I've ever met." Lilith answered. "I'm sure he can handle himself."

"Those insects will be stomped out."

Lilith and Vexx turned their heads to Athena, who was just staring down into the dark tunnel, as if she could see everything beyond the darkness.

"Our master is the strongest being on this planet. I can't imagine even one of the Titans of Discord being able to beat him."

"The Titans of Discord? What the hell is that?"

"My, Vexx. You really aren't educated, are you?"

Vexx growled at Athena's snarky comment. He just crossed his arms as Lilith took the floor.

"The Titans of Discord are massive entities of destruction. It's believed that they were the first beings of life on our planet. When other species began to take life on the planet, the titans began to stomp them out. But, it was the gods who came down from the heavens and locked the titans away. The location of their cages are unknown to all but the gods. But, it's just some folktale. I hardly-?"

"It's true." Athena cut in with bluntness. "Those titans existed back then, and they exist now. But... not even I know the location of any of them."

"If ya don't know what they are; how do you know they're real?" Vexx asked.

Athena couldn't respond to that. She could tell them the truth. The truth that she was made with the knowledge of this world and was given to Tatsuo Kobayashi as a gift by Lord Satan. But, she knew that her comrades wouldn't believe her and that they would question her sanity. So she remained silent.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you don't talk much unless it's to insult us." Vexx hissed. "Whatever. So, Lilith, how far did you and Tatsuo go last night?"

Lilith's face lit up a light pink as she shook her head at a rapid pace. At this point, Athena had tuned in to hear what Lilith had to say.

"Well, spill it! How far did you go?!" Vexx kept pushing, and, pushing, and pushing.

"Nothing happened! All I remember was passing out during training and waking up next to him this morning! We never had sex or anything!" Lililth cried, the blush on her face deepened.

Athena had a hand on the grass she sat on. She had even noticed that her hand had made a fist and was clenching the grass with a tight grip.

"Did you enjoy yourself?" Vexx grinned. "Not all of us get to snuggle with Tatsuo. Not that I want, too. Athena doesn't want to either, but I guess sleeping next Tatsuo under the covers is better than sleeping above the covers at his feet. Right, Athena?"

Athena had her back to the group. So... they couldn't see her face. She didn't even know what face she was making. All she knew was that she was biting down on her thumb very hard.

"Talkative as ever." Vexx scoffed. "Anyway, Lilith, you should go for him."

"Wha-what!?" Lilith exclaimed. "I should 'go for him?!'"

She was extremely embarrassed. But, the reason was unknown to her. What's embarrassing about somebody telling another to go after someone they have feelings for?

"C'mon, Lilith. Don't be coy. You think I don't see the way you stare at him? It's pretty obvious that you like him a lot, and it's also clear that he likes you a lot. He's got black hair, you've got white, match made in heaven."

"Hair color doesn't determine if two people are perfect for each other, Vexx."
