Max's pov
I went up to check on Joshua , he wasnt there so i went to crash and found logan"hey" he looked up and hid a paper from me, i tilted my head"what was that?" He sighed,"max, the attaxks that happened, people are saying its a part man part animal, so i went to check on the officer that got attacked, and showed him a picture of Joshua,he pointed at joshua" i shook my head"logan...no way joshua would do this" he tried to convince me more but ive heard enough, i left crash and got on my motorcycle,i drove for a long time, something about motorcycles reminded me about Ryder, then i forgot she was left with alec, i felt bad for her, theyre probably annoying the hell out of eachother right now. I turned around my motorcycle and rode to alec's place, i opened the door to see them both still asleep, I smiled a little and closed the door riding my motor cycle back home.
Ryder's pov
I woke up warm, there was a blanket on me, i dont remember putting a blanket on me, i looked over at alec and realized he was still sleeping, i got up and looked in the fridge to make something, all he had was some milk, meat, and something that i dont wanna know what it was. I sighed and got a pen and a piece of paper i left him a note
Hey alec,so since you have close to nothin in your fridge i went out to get some food to make breakfast,i know you hate my cooking but dont complain cause i swear i got better.

I left the note on the counter and grabbed my jacket, i walked by joshua's and stopped at his house" hey joshua! Its me Ryder! Can i come in?" Joshua opened the door. "Hey ryder" i hugged him"hey josh" "wheres alec?" Joshua looked around," alec's still sleeping,i just wanted to say hi, i have to go buy groceries" he nodded"oh...will you stop by later ryder?" I smiled and nodded"ofcourse josh" 'i felt bad for him...since he doesnt look like us he cant come outside..and we all have jobs...it must get pretty lonely' i thought and continued to walk to the store. I bought eggs,bacon,and, pancake mix. I started walking back someone picked me up"Hey!" I punched him in the face "ow ryder what the hell?" Alec held were i hit him" what?what do you mean? Your the one that picked me up!" He pushed me away and took the bags"just testing if you can still sense someone attacking you...guess not" he smirked, i rolled my eyes"man you really like annoying people dont you" he held where his heart was"ouch Ryder....that hurt" he laughed and i giggled but stopped when i realized what i was doing"good, im glad it hurt" i smirked and he rolled his eyes.
We went into his apartment and i put everything away with alec's help. Once i started cooking alec got up and stretched" ryyyyddeeerrrrr" he whined"what?" He looked bored,"whens the food gonna be done? Im hungry" i scoffed "one, itll be done when its done, and two, your acting like a child! Now go take a shower before your b.o. stinks up your apartment" he pouted and i laughed"fiiiinneee jeez your like a max point 2.0. Except your more mean"he stuck his tongue out at me and he went to take his shower.
Alec's pov
It was true, i was acting like a child. But we always acted that way around eachother cause we practically grew up as brother and sister eversince i got back from cy-ops. But something was different, i had a feeling in my stomach and it made me feel weird. I shook the weird feeling off and took me shower, i peeked my head out of the doorway to see ryder's back turned to me, I grabbed a flannel, jeans and socks, then snuck back to the bathroom and got changed"noowww is it almost done?" I whined. Ryder looked at me with a dangerous glint in her eye" give me 5 more minutes" she said annoyed, i smiled knowing i did my job at annoying her and sat down on the couch watching tv. Logan made an eyes only podcast and ryder sat by me to watch "in 2012 twelve kids escaped from manticore and know-" I zoned out and looked at ryder who was listening intently to what he had to say before she looked at me and shrugged going back to making food. When she was done it smelled nice in my apartment"Alec come eat your food bafore it gets cold" I laughed at her bored tone"as long as it doesnt give me food poisoning again ill eat" she hit my arm and stuck her tongue out at me, I messed up her hair and she hit me again "ow! Stop hitting me" i whined "I will when you st-" the news came on as a transgender was throwing cops against the wall in self defense"this isnt good" Ryder said getting her jacket and getting up, covering her bar code"this isnt good at all!"i said and stood up getting my jacket aswell we walked out of the apartment towards jampony"do you think max, josh, and logan saw it?" She turned to look at me, worried. I nodded"well ryder seeing as that it just popped on our tv im pretty sure everyone saw it" She rolled her eyes and we both walked into jampony, max was right there and we ran up to her but normal stopped us"heyy you two where have you been? We cant have you coming late all the time either ryder!" "Normal you dont unders-" Ryder got cut off by normal wich pissed me off"now missy dont give me attitude! We have things to deliver now pip!" He walked away and we rolled our eyes"grreeeaaaat" max saw us and walked up to us"hey..." she grabbed our arms and dragged us to where some other girl and sketch were (dont judge me i forgot her name ;-;)
"Hey,im dani" she held her hand out for ryder to shake and she shook it "so...sketch get outta here" max motioned her head for sketch to go away"but....fine. ..." he sighed and went away"logan found out that white was at the crime seen" max said to us"but hes been trying to kill or sell our kind,..whys he letting them go?" I asked crossing my arms"it doesnt make sence that would expose us" "exactly" ryder said, everyone turned to her"..well, think about it, exposure for us means we'd be hunted....and probably killed by the sector police" she shrugged and i swung my arm around her shoulders"arent you the smart one?" Max and her friend looked shocked that Ryder didnt pull away"oh shut up...we should probably go get our bar codes....ya know..." max said and ryder and i nodded, we followed her to somewhere unknown and went into the lab with a laser " this is gonna hurt....isnt it?"
