Joshua was holding his hand that was stained with a red substance 'blood' i thought "Joshua what happened?" Max asked in a worried tone and went to the kitchen,"good thing i got pain medicine for anyone who gets hurt" she said looking at me and I raised my hands in defense. Joshua was being quiet and avoiding eye contact so I sat infront of him" what happened josh? what are you hiding?why are you hurt?" joshua looked at me"m-my brother was scared, he didnt mean it" Joshua tried to defend his so called brother"you have a brother? is he the one attacking these people?" Joshua stopped talking again. I felt my phone vibrate " ill be right back gotta take this" I went into another room and answered the call "yolo" " Hey ryder its Logan" " hey logan whats up" " joshua hu" " no he didnt! why would you think that?" " the police officer that got attacked described him, even said he had a bar code" " joshua doesnt have a bar code, he was the first, the special" " wait so who i-" Everything went black, the last words i heatd were" sorry Ry"
*3 hours later*
i groaned and woke up , my head pounding "what happened?" i asked myself and looked around to see max passed out" Max wake up! Joshua is gone!" i said and got up running over to Max i shook her until she woke up "Ryder? why the hell are you shaking me? where is Joshua?" she asked completely oblivious"come on where do you think he is right now?" Realization spread across her face" the sewers"she got up putting on her jacket, i put on mine" should we tell Alec and Logan?" I asked and she shook her head, " They'd want us to wait, we have to go right now if we're gonna save him" I nodded and looked out the window spotting an opened sewer hole going underground" well i found our way in way downtown" she smiled"thanks Ryder atleast you help" she said, I was confused but decided not to question it" lets go" we both walked outside and stood infront of the opening."ladies first" I smirked as max rolled her eyes"whatever your just scared" she teased" what? me? scared? never!" I declared and she giggled" well then prove it by going first" she smirked and i scoffed." fine" i started to go down first, turning my light on half way down and dropping down" Alright Max it looks safe you can come down now!" I looked around turning on my flashlight and walking around, I turned around when I heard a splash just to see it was max" scared ya" she said sarcastically as she turned on her flashlight as well. I scoffed and turned back around, we continued to look for Joshua when Max's phone began to ring" its logan," I turned to her and took her phone pressing the decline button"he'll try to stop us" max stayed silent, I knew she was mad, I got a call from alec a couple minutes later "who is it?"she asked, "alec" i pushed the decline button as well and we saw Joshua, or what looked like him"joshua?"Max asked, Joshua turned to us and growled, trying to attack us "brother! Run!"Max and I turned around to see the actual Joshua running away from the police, with his brother.Max ran after them"what the hell's happening?"I asked myself and ran after them, running into a police officer"what are you doing?"he asked but I knocked him out, he made a noise and two other police officers saw me"crap" I muttered and looked back to see max and Joshua gone"Freeze! Put your hands in the air!" I sighed and put my hands in the air, one of the cops cuffed me and dragged me out to a police car. Looking up I saw max, looking at me. I knew I'd get her angry by getting caught.the police car drove off and I relaxed and closed my eyes.
Max's POV
I watched as Ryder got caught by the police, rolling my eyes I took out my phone calling alec since I needed logan's help."yo what's up max?" "Hey alec I need you to get Ryder out of jail. " he laughed "I swear to God she gets caught a lot more then she used to"i rolled my eyes at that comment"yeah whatever you got caught a couple times by a lot of people so I wouldn't be talking if I were you...just bail her out would ya?"I hung up before he could say no and smiled
