That Night

The Truth Comes Out

Beca's POV

We all just stare at each other. I have no idea what to say. Five years of keeping the twins hidden from the Bellas washed down the drain.

"Momma, why are we all just staring? I'm hungry!" Harmony groans in Stacie's arms. Everyone's gaze then snaps to Stacie. "Right um, we're gunna go sit... over there." I say and try to turn. "Why don't you sit with us?" Ashley suggests and the twins pull us toward the table. Really Ashley!? Things were already awkward! Why on Earth would it be a good idea to sit with them!?

I just sigh and we sit at the end of the table with the girls. I instantly regret looking up because Chloe is looking at us with tears threatening to spill while Aubrey looks like she is thinking of places to hide my body.

"So um girls this is Lilly, Flo, Cynthia Rose, Emily, Jessica, Ashley, Fat Amy, Aubrey, and Chloe." I announce pointing to each Bella as I go. The twins eyes light up when I say Amy and Emily.

"Auntie Em and Amy!" They both yell running up to the girls and hugging them. "Now we can finally see you outside of FaceTime." Harmony says. The rest of the Bellas seem shocked, naturally. The twins knew of Amy and Emily because we always talked to them on the phone a lot and the girls would join in. Plus Emily and Amy knew why we left and what happened, the only Bellas who did.

"Mommy said you might be staying with us! It will be so fun! They are pretty cool Moms." Bella says to a shocked Emily. "And you can teach us how to mermaid dance!" Harmony yells to Fat Amy causing some of the other girls to laugh.

"So guys this is Bella and Harmony." I say pointing to the twins.

"How old are you two?" My attention snaps to Aubrey when she asks that. This is the first time I heard her say anything in five years.

"Five!" The twins yell. Aubrey scoff and rolls her eyes. "We start school next week!" Bella says. Chloe stands up and excuses herself. I look panicked at Stacie who nods and I get up going after Chloe.

"Chlo?" I call when I get outside the restaurant. "Don't!" She yells back with tears now flowing. I shut my mouth and she takes a deep breath. "I know they are yours biologically Beca. Hell they look just like you!" She yells. I nod still not talking. I learned a long time ago when Chloe is mad sometimes it's best to just let her get it all out.

"And they are five! We were together 5 years ago! So tell me now is Stacie their biological Mom? Or does she just help you with them?" She asks crossing her arms in front of her.

"Stacie is their mom." I say back in a whisper. "I knew it. You were cheating on me." She says back. I roll my eyes and clench my fists. "I told you I saw you kiss Aubrey." I say back and Chloe nods and raises her eyebrows.

"That night I came back and told Stacie. We were both upset and handled it poorly. We drank and smoked a lot. The next morning we woke up naked and neither of us remembered a thing. I thought our relationship was over! We were going to break things off but you guys came clean. We wanted to forget what happened and move on. For fuck sake I was going to propose to you after Finals!" I tell her. Chloe's breath hitches and more tears form in her eyes.

"Then we found out Stacie was pregnant. I knew we didn't have the money. Hell we were only 20. So I did the only thing I could think of. Residual Heat offered me a contract freshman year after we won. I didn't tell anyone because I decided to finish school. I wanted to stay with the Bellas and you! But then when I found out I was going to have a kid I called and asked if I could still sign with them and they agreed. So Stacie and I left so we wouldn't have to worry about how we were going to feed the kids on a college budget." I say almost yelling.
