Trigger warning: drug abuse
Beca's POV
I look at Stacie and the two hot girls who are staring at me blankly. It must have been a wild party last night because I feel like shit and can't remember a thing and now I have them all in a room together... and Stacie kissed me? What the hell did we do last night?!
I look around but this stupid bandage is covering my eye. What the fuck happened at this party? "Becs, look at your arm." Stacie says and I look seeing a large half sleeve. "Woah! This tattoo is sick! Did I get it last night cause it doesn't even hurt!" I yell poking my arm.
"Beca you got that tattoo three years ago." Stacie says. I snap my attention to my busty best friend. "What are you talking about?" I say and Stacie gulps. "Beca, you are 26. I think the accident caused some memory loss. Your doctor said that was possible." She informs me. I stare at Stacie trying to see if she was messing with me. I think I should be able to remember the past like... 9 years of my life.
"Dude, this isn't funny." I say back trying to end this joke. "Wait, the last thing you remember is Nat's party?" Stacie asks. I nod thinking of the crazy party. What a fun time. "How much do you remember Becs?" She asks and I try to think back to the party. "Ummm I remember dancing, you left with that hot girl, then yeah lots of drinks." I say with a big smile.
"Is that it?" Stacie asks and I try to remember more but my head hurts. "Yeah, why?" Stacie looks at me with concerned eyes. "Beca, that was the night you overdosed."
Stacie's POV
"WHAT?" Beca yells at the same time as Chloe. I can see her thinking face on but she then winces. I can't believe she would forget a moment that changed her whole life. "I overdosed?" She says in a whisper. "Yeah dumbass. We completely changed after that. I mean we still partied and smoked weed from time to time but no more hard shit." I whisper back.
"Fuck, I had no idea it would get this bad." She replies running her hand through her hair. She looks at me with a confused look but then I can see her focusing on my collarbone and she pulls down my shirt a bit. I know she can see the tattoo.
"I always wanted a sound wave tattoo when I had kids." She says. I can see Beca squint at the tattoo and pull her hospital gown down a bit revealing the same tattoo on her chest.
"Bella and Harmony... who are they?" Beca says looking at me. I have to gulp because how do you tell your best friend that you have kids with her? Beca lays back in the bed and I can see gears turning.
"Beca, maybe you should rest." Chloe says and I give her a thankful smile. "Bella and Harmony..." Beca says again and her brows furrow. "Are they my kids?" She asks. I sigh and nod. I look up at her and she is taking deep breaths.
"And you are the mom?" Beca asks and I nod again. Before another comment can be made the doctor comes in. "Oh hello." He says with a smile oblivious to all the tension in the room.
"We are going to remove the bandages and check on the stitches." He says. Emily and Chloe excuse themselves and step out, leaving me alone with Beca. "Is this going to scar?" Beca asks as the bandage is being unraveled. "Most likely, you're lucky it missed your eye by 2 inches." He tells her.
I'm curious because I have yet to see the injury. When its finally revealed there is a long line from just above her eyebrow to about mid cheek. The doctor looks it over and adds more ointment before covering the side of her face again. "Well good news is the stitches can come out tomorrow. Now if you would lay back we need to check on the rib injuries." He says.
Beca complies surprisingly because she hates doctors. Ever since the overdose... oh wait the overdose that she doesn't remember.
She lays back with a wince and I grab her hand out of pure instinct. She looks confused at first but then gives me a grateful smile. The doctor looks at her ribs and I can see the large bruises all over her.
