[[Chapter 1/ Prologue]]

[[A/N: Check out the video to the side. Its the song playing on the radio and its one of my favorites]]

I could feel the warmth of the sun on my eyelids and from the two arms wrapped around my waist. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking several times to get used to the light coming in through the crème window curtains. I turned to look at my boyfriend Nicholas beside me.

His attractive face looked relaxed and calm while he was sleeping. As I wished I could have a photographic memory so I would never forget his face, he whispered Alice in his sleep.

God. He was so annoying. With his entire lovey dovey-ness, giving me presents, spooning during the night, he is so attached to me. I peeled his arms off my torso and climbed out of the bed. I turned to look at him one last time. He was attractive so I could deal with him. With a shrug I left the room.

On my way out the front door, I pulled on one of his shirts and a pair of shorts. I got into my Porsche and headed towards Starbucks.

I put in my wake up cd and sped down the road. The streets were empty in the mornings and I could easily drive through the town.

“Back to streets where we began,

Feeling as good as lovers can,

You know

Yea we’re feeling so good

Picking up things we shouldn’t read

Looks like the end of history as we know”

I hummed along to the song as I passed rows of flowers on the side of the rode. I sighed in happiness as I looked at the pink petalled flowers. Only if the roses were pretty and loved the same amount as me. I laughed and sped past, but not before looking with disgust at the weeds standing just as tall as the flowers.

“Cause it’s nine in the afternoon

Your eyes are the size of the moon

You could cause you can so you do

We’re feeling so good

Just the way that we do

When its nine in the afternoon”

I turned the radio off as I pulled into the parking lot for Starbucks. I could tell my friends were already here from the familiar luxury cars parked in their usual spots.

My 2 best friends sat at our favorite circular booth in the back, sipping on frappes. I saw the chilled drink I always get sitting on the table and I smiled.

“Scoot over Lydia, I don’t want to sit on the floor” I teasingly looked at the freckled red head and made a scooting gesture.

She chuckled and moved over for me.

“Alice! What took you so long, I even had to purchase your drink for you.” I looked at my other friend Jessica with my eyebrows.

“Oh I’m so sorry you had to pay 4 dollars out of your 100 dollars a week allowance,” I said with sarcasm. She just laughed.

“No but really, what took you so long?” Jessica said with worry clear on her perfect face.
