Chapter 5

(A/N: It's back~ I hope you enjoy this new chapter. I'm so sorry it took so long)

Previously on The Wolf Shifter's Destiny:

'How does she know that?! She's a Titan researcher, where did she find the time to research Wolves?!'

Levi takes a few steps forward while I take a few steps back.

'Don't tell me he's actually going to attempt it?!'

His glare hardens and my natural instincts force my head to bow submissively.

'No! Stupid instincts! This isn't right, a human should not be able to state dominance over a Wolf with only a glare! Especially a Wolf Shifter!'

My body lays flat on the ground with my head on top of my paws. Levi crouches in front of me and reaches a hand out, placing it comfortably on my head. My eyes close on their own as I give in, accepting him as my Alpha. The only thing running through my mind in this moment is...

'Well this is a shitty turn of events'

Y/N POV

'What the fuck is going on?!'

I pace the room I've been given to stay in. It's pretty much empty, aside from a large mattress on the ground for me to sleep on. I mean come on, they could have at least put a little effort into my accommodation. I know they think I'm just an animal, but the least they can do is make it more homely. I continue to pace as I go over the recent events.

'First I stupidly allowed humans to find me, then I saved said humans from a Titan. To top it off, they wolf-napped me while I was vulnerable and one claimed an Alpha position. And that's not even the worst thing! They took my deer to feed the soldiers. MY DEER! Who does that?!'

I snarl in anger.

'The next one to come through that door is dead meat! Except for Eren, I like Eren. I'm pretty sure I've unconsciously adopted the boy' I frown slightly at the realisation. 'Oops?'

My ears twitch at the sound of footsteps and I conceal myself in the shadows of the room. When the door opens I prepare to pounce, only to stop when Eren pokes his head into the room.

"Hey girl, you in here? I brought- OOF" I tackle him to the ground.

He groans under the weight as I send as best a smile I can in Wolf form.

"Happy to see me?" He grins.

I chuff and lay my head on his chest, releasing a puff of air through my snout that fans the hair in his face. He chuckles and runs his fingers through my fur, receiving a small lick on the cheek in return. When I finally allow him to get up, he picks up something he dropped. I eye in curiously.

'Is that food?' I tilt my head.

"Here, it's meat. You didn't think we'd starve you did you?" He chuckles.

'That's not any meat I've ever seen. Where's the bloody juices? It looks dry, did someone burn it?' I stare at Eren unconvinced.

"Just try it, you'll like it, I promise" he smiles.

I give him a sceptical look, but take it nonetheless. I drop it on the ground in front of me and sit down while staring quizzically at it. I look at Eren again and he gives me an encouraging look. I grumble and take a bite out of the supposed 'meat'. When an explosion of flavour hits my taste buds, my eyes widen in shock.

'Holy shit! Where have you been all my life, mystery meat?!'

In an instant, I'm chowing down like I haven't eaten in days. Oh wait, I haven't. Eren snickers at me.

"I told you you'd like it" he grins, gaining an eye role from me. "Don't sass me" He scolds playfully.

I smirk and nudge him with my head. This ultimately causes him to stumble.

"Oh, so it's like that now, is it?" He smirks.

He roles up his sleeves and tackles me, well... tries to at least. He ends up flat on his ass and I quirk a brow in amusement.

"Not funny" he pouts.

'He's so cute~' I coo and nuzzle his cheek.

This causes him to giggle and wrap his arms around my neck in a hug.

"Awwww" I snap my head towards the door to see Hanji, behind her are the soldiers from the forest.

"She's treating him like a pup" the blond know as Armin notes.

"She is quite attached to him, maybe that's how she views him" Hanji theorised.

"Are you saying Jaeger has been adopted by a wolf" the two toned haired boy laughs.

"Shut up, Horseface" Eren glares.

"You gonna make me, Titan Boy?" Horseface challenges.

'No, I will' I growl menacingly at Horseface, taking on a protective stance.

"Well that confirms the theory" Hanji chuckles.

"Shouldn't we be worried about our safety?" The bald boy questions nervously as I take a few steps towards them.

"Nah, I brought Levi" she brushes off his worry.

That's when a figure steps in front of me. Levi. Or rather, Alpha Levi.

"Stand down, Mutt" he orders.

'Did he just- oh hell no! Nobody calls me a Mutt!'

I snarl in protest, but his hard, unwavering gaze stops me. My instincts scream at me to obey as I struggle to fight against them. However, my obedience prevails in the end. I huff in defeat and retreat to my mattress bed, slumping on it in annoyance. Hanji scribbles furiously in a notebook while the others stare in awe at what just occurred.

"We should probably push the meet and greet to tomorrow when she's less agitated" Hanji suggests after she's done writing.

They all nod in agreement and exit the room, leaving me along. I curl up and close my eyes, allowing sleep to consume me.
