I tried to twist my head up, mumbling "Erica?" The voice laughed. Confused, I tried to look around, but my eyes were still shut and I couldn't open them or lift my arms.

"Who are you?" I demanded, trying to sound as scary as I could, which unfortunately wasn't that scary.

"I'm hurt that you don't remember me, Ben." The voice said again. The voice's hands touched my arm, jolting me back to reality. I had been thinking for a while. If it wasn't Zoe or Erica, maybe it was one of his friends who had come to rescue him and was playing a prank? That was too good to hope with his luck. It was probably some other foe. Ashley, maybe? No, Ashley was dead too. But then again, we thought that Murray was dead too, or rather, we hoped he was dead. But I physically was there when they buried Ashley's body. So was Nefarious.

Nefarious Jones was currently working as the head of coding at the CIA, identity classified, of course. After he served out his sentence, he was a changed man. He still liked cheetos and video games, but he realized that there were real life video games too. My eyes struggled open and tried to focus while I was thinking.

I bolted up, panting. There were no windows in the van, giving me no context clues on where I was. The sides of the van were sticky and the driver was listening to a sports radio. I couldn't help but remember the first time I had gotten kidnapped. There was a woman sitting in the back of the van with me. She was too tall to be Ashley. I narrowed my eyes, trying to remember where I knew the hair from. I had almost gotten it when we heard grunts and shouts coming from the cockpit. (I don't know the word lol) The van stopped short, and Erica burst into the van, knocking out the woman in a second and in the next, unlocking my handcuffs. She gracefully jumped out, gesturing to me that we should leave. Honestly, I was curious. So I decided to figure out who it was.

I turned the woman over, and shock registered in my brain when I realized a moment later who it was that had captured me. Erica hissed my name and then grabbed my hand when I didn't move. In the car, five minutes later, Erica looked at me.

"What was that?! You could have been killed!" I would have been offended a few years before, but now I knew that she was just worried. I quickly explained what happened and she was silent for a bit, probably thinking of ten more ways that she could have killed that guy that I just let pass.

"What made you freeze up? Who was she?" Erica asked, trying and failing to keep the curiosity out of her voice.

"A girl that I used to have a crush on." Erica looked at me, eyebrows raised.

"Elizabeth Pasternak."

I'm probs not going to have a timetable, but I'll try and update almost everyday.
