An uneasy silence filled the AV room as everyone waited for Monokuma to give them their first motive. Mukuro was sat close to Makoto, looking to him for moral support. She had no clue what their motive would be, but part of her hoped it would trigger a memory. Makoto was basically biting at his nails, nervously cycling through all the horrid methods that Monokuma could use for motivation. Nobody was talking to anyone, and soon the silence became deafening. Mukuro looked blankly at the screen, fiddling with the wire of her headphones. She was starting to get even more anxious. Monokuma popped up in front of the projector screen, the projector itself almost as spotlight for him to begin a speech.
"Let me ask you my esteemed Ultimates, Do you all miss your chums and your loved ones? Are you wondering what the hell they're up to while you guys are all trapped here? Do you cry youself to sleep at night thinking about them? Well, thanks to yours truly, you can have a tiny glimpse of em!" Monokuma said, in a condescending tone, as if he just wanted to say "You guys are pathetic!" Mukuro was honestly kinda happy about that being the motive. Although it would probably turn out horribly wrong, she hoped it would trigger at least one memory of the past. Maybe then that would help her. Before they could blink, Monokuma waddled over to a box, and pulled out a set of DVD cases, handing them out to each student, and snickering to himself each time a DVD was put in a student's procession. Mukuro took her DVD, inserting it into the player. She put the headphones on and watched the screen, seeing a girl appear on screen. She was, of course, Junko Enoshima, but Mukuro couldn't remember her no matter how hard she tried.
"Hey Ikusaba-san, I just wanted to wish you like, the best time at Hope's Peak Academy, I bet your parents are totally proud of you." Junko said, gaining attention from the others.
"Isn't that Junko Enoshima?" Makoto asked her, not watching his own DVD yet, but instead insisting to take a peek at his fellow students screens.
"Junko Enoshima?" Mukuro asked quietly in confusion, still watching the screen. She couldn't recognise the popular model in front of her, and it was somewhat of a concern.
"She's like the biggest star in Japan, from what I can remember, I've seen her face on several magazine covers." Mukuro didn't respond, staring at the screen. It had turned black, and she had a sinking suspicion something bad was going to happen. The video hadn't finished, she knew that much. When the video returned, Junko Enoshima was seen in the same spot, her eyes gazed over, and her body limp. A deep gash was visible on her neck, with dried blood caked on her outfit. There was no way to doubt it, the Ultimate Fashionita had met her end, being killed without reason. Mukuro gasped, shaking a little. She was shocked by the scene in front of her. She wanted to know what had happened to the fashionista who seemed to have some of the answers to the questions she had, and how she'd ended up dead in front of her. Makoto looked on with her, a chill running up his spine, turning to his own screen to see his family there one second, and gone in the next, leaving only a shouted of his ruined living room couch from back home. A scream suddenly filled the room. It was that of Sayaka Maizono. She backed away from her screen, her arms wrapped around herself. She was trembling too, her eyes not moving from the screen for even a second. Everyone was terrified by what their videos show them, with even Byakuya shaking slightly, despite his best efforts to remain composed. Makoto took a peek at Sayaka's screen, recoiling at an image of Sayaka's closest friends, her bandmates, laid lifelessly on the stage, with Monokuma chuckling on a screen in the background.
"No!" Sayaka screamed once her screen went to black again. She ran out of the room, shaking and crying. She didn't want to be in there anymore. Makoto watched her run out into the hall.
"I'll go and check on her, also you mind coming Mukuro?" Makoto asked, rushing towards the A/V room exit. Mukuro didn't speak, getting up and following Makoto out of the room. She was quite fast, even though her ankle was still sore. Hopefully by tomorrow the pain would be long gone.

Makoto found Sayaka in tears just outside the gym, kneeling down and wrapping his arms around her. He kept quiet, since he figured that anything that he could say would most likely only make things worse. Sayaka screamed and cried, clinging on to Makoto. It was clear to anyone that the video had put her into despair. She had to get out. She looked up at Mukuro as she found them, an almost hateful look in her eyes. There would be no way of Makoto seeing it from the position they were in. Makoto was giving it his best, worry for both her and the others glimmered clearly in his eyes, and for the first time, his smile broke away, only leaving a look of complete devastation in its wake. Mukuro watched the pair, not moving. She could see the look in Sayaka's eyes, even if it had only lasted a moment. She didn't really understand, but chose to stay silent. The only sounds now were Sayaka's cries and Monokuma's laughter over the intercom.
"Ahahahahahahahahahaha! Good times, am I right? The looks on your faces were just priceless, and the tears that are pouring out of your eyes, whew, I thought that my chest would burst open, and my stomach would spew out! I hope that was a real motivator for you kiddies, remember, there are all kinds of different weapons around this school. My personal favorite is the kitchen knife, it can be quick and painless, or slow and miserable! The perfect tool harshly betray your classmates with, just make sure ya sharpen it, then go slash happy as you please!" Monokuma said over the intercom with a sadistic, laid back glee. Mukuro narrowed her eyes, glaring up at the screen. She was only filled with more determination to end the killing game and set everyone free. She had to, no doubt. Makoto was in the same boat, he didn't know about anybody else, but he was going to keep to his ideals, and hopefully, his actions would rub off on the others soon enough.
"It's almost ten, I'd better make sure that Sayaka gets back to her room safely.  I'll see you in a while Mukuro." Mukuro watched silently as he and Sayaka wandered off. She didn't like seeing him leave, especially with another girl. She couldn't understand why though. She wandered off, going back for the motive video. It might come in use to her later down the line.
