Jia Baoyu is running home from work, checking the time every minute. This is because today, he is waiting for the next chapter of 'The Elements of Wu Xuesong', one of his favorite novels. He couldn't wait to see what happens to Jing Xiandong; a cannon fodder in the book who was also his favorite character in the novel.
Jing Xiandong would always challenge Wu Xuesong, who is also the Crown Prince and the protagonist, to duels to impress the female lead named Li Na, who was obviously in love with Xuesong.
And today's update Jin Xiandong will once again challenge Crown Prince. Ever since childhood Xiandong would challenge the young crown prince until today's update, which changed everything.

Baoyu hurriedly unlocks his door, almost tripping over his own feet while rushing to his room to got change. He quickly changes his clothes and hops into his chair, getting comfortable as he waited for the new update.
Soon a ding sound chimes and Fa Bao quickly checks his laptop to only be blessed with another chapter of "The Elements of Wu Xuesong". Baoyu was even more excited to see that the author ended up writing ten more chapters. Although he was excited, Baoyu was a little sad that the book was coming to an end today.
Baoyu immediately read through the story only to stop at the words, 'The Crown Prince's sword pierced Jing Xiandong's neck before snatching it out, blood pouring from the wound.'
Jia Baoyu stops reading the story and turns away from his laptop, shaking uncontrollably, tears threatening to fall. He was mad and upset at the same time and felt like being dramatic. He stops reading the chapter, with no plan to continue reading the novel.
But, even though he felt sick to his stomach he ended up reading to the end of the book, truly unsatisfied with everything. Wu Xuesong and Li Na ended up being with each other and had 5 kids. Jia Baoyu was so upset but he felt bloodlust. 'If I was in this story, I would've saved Jing Xiandong and killed the Crown Prince myself!!'
Baoyu couldn't handle the amount of stress the book had put on him and decided to walk towards his bed. He let his body drop down on his bed, headfirst into his pillow and just lulls himself to sleep, tears still rolling out his eyes...

Morning comes and Jia Baoyu is awakened by the beeping of his alarm clock. He groans while stretching his body on his bed. He looked at the alarm clock on his side table. It was about time for Bayou to wake up and prepare to go to work.
Baoyu gets up to do his daily routine, showering, washing his face, etc., before putting a plain t-shirt and some jeans on. He styles his hair a bit before grabbing his phone and his bag before walking out the door.
The young guy's mood wasn't 100% since he was still in his feeling about the recent events that had occurred in "The Elements of Wu Xuesong" but, he still had to go to work so he had to put those feelings aside.
When Baoyu reached the crosswalk, he waited until it turned green and began to walk across the street. He noticed that he was crossing by himself, making him extremely nervous as he walked but, as soon as he got to the middle of the street, he heard a loud honk. Baoyu didn't have time to look before everything went black.

The moment he opens his eyes, Jia Baoyu was faced with a pretty elegant room. The color of the room was blue, black, white, and purple. The room was made up of a lot of expensive-looking items. It was truly a sight to behold. Baoyu was confused about his whereabouts and kept looking around to see if he could get some understanding of the situation.
Unfortunately, he didn't look for long because his attention was grabbed by two girls, who looked around the age of fifteen, that entered the room. Both of their sad faces immediately turned into a surprised one. One of the females dropped the clothes in her hands and promptly ran out of the room while the other one stood there in shock. Baoyu, of course, didn't know what was going on and just sat in confusion.
Not even 5 minutes later, the girl came back to the room, now with an old man behind her. She quickly picked up the clothes and stood beside the other girl, who was now crying, trying to soothe her.
The old man walked over to Baoyu and reached out to grab the boy's hand but Baoyu quickly moved his hand out of the man's reach. The physician was not only surprised but was confused himself. The concubine was pregnant so why would he be resisting him when he's trying to check up on him and the baby.
The old physician sighed before speaking, "Concubine Jia, I cannot check on you or the baby if you refuse to let me check your pulse. Are you sure that you don't want me to check your body to check if there's any poison left?"
And with that, Jia Baoyu paused. Baby? Concubine? Poison? He was confused by the physician's words. He was not a concubine..nor was he pregnant or poisoned. At first, Baoyu was not intending to ask what the man meant by that but, curiosity got the best of him...
"Baby? What do you mean by the baby?" The physician stopped what he was doing and let out a loud laugh that filled the room. Surely the concubine had not forgotten about the child he is carrying? On top of that, The CROWN PRINCE'S child! Baoyu scowled at the man for laughing at his question but stayed quiet.
Once again, the physician tried to grab Baoyu's hand but he pulled his hand out of his reach for the second time. At that moment, the physician was getting annoyed. He was just trying to do his job while this disobedient concubine would not let him check on the Crown Prince's heir!
"Concubine Jia, you know you are carrying Crown Prince Xuesong's child and you know you were poisoned yet you keep refusing to let me check your pulse. You are making this harder for yourself and me so, PLEASE, give me your hand!" The old man was now red in the face. He had never had so much trouble with anyone in all the years he's been alive!!
Jia Baoyu's eyes widened as he couldn't believe what he heard. Wu Xuesong? As in...'The Elements of Wu Xuesong'?!! He's carrying the child of the Crown Prince from his favorite novel? The Crown Prince that killed Jing Xiandong?!! He was carrying that bastard's child?!
It didn't take Baoyu long to realize the situation he was in and who he was. He was in the body of Jia Baoyu, one of the many concubines of the Crown Prince, and the birth giver of his firstborn and heir. Many wanted that title and were jealous but, that still didn't turn the Crown Prince's attention towards him.
The concubine ended up dying after trying to kill Li Na many times throughout the story. Of course, Baoyu knew what would end up happening to him...he was hated already so there was no stopping anything else happening to him unless he played his cards right and used his brain.
While Baoyu was in his thoughts, the physician had already checked his pulse and gave the two servants some medicine to give to Baoyu, and took his leave.
The two servants, who were once standing on the side, were now on each side of the concubine, one with water in her hand while the other had the medicine.
They tried and tried to get Baoyu to take the medicine but he refused and laid back down. The younger one of the two whimpered. Both were scared about what could happen to the Crown Prince's heir if the concubine did not take the pills and get better. Both of the girls were scared for their lives.
"P-Please Concubine Jia, take the medicine. W-W-We doesn't know what might happen to us or you if the Crown Prince's heir dies." The younger servant pleaded. Of course, they were worried about the concubine but the Crown Prince only cared about the child that Baoyu was carrying. Everyone knew he didn't love the concubine but took him to bed because he was pretty, and Baoyu knew that too well.
With enough pleading and begging, Baoyu ended up taking the medicine only because he didn't want to kill the child and he didn't want anything to happen to the two girls. He wants to change his fate, but he has to let everything fall into place.
All Baoyu wants to do is survive this time but, considering that the body he's in is not in the best conditions, he'll have to wait a while.
