Y/N

"..hicc...damn it.." I choked. Saliva and tears, dripped from my contorted face. Biting my lip, I slammed my now sore fist against the wall I've been sobbing over for the past couple of days. Have you ever wanted something so bad, and had to give it up because of your stupidity and forever have it written on your soul as a wall that separates you from your far future.

That's exactly where I stand right now.

*SLAM*

My fist twitched and fell down to my side. My breath was an unstable hurricane, desperately wishing to be tamed. Oh, but how generous mother nature likes to treat this mess. I pounded my head against the wall trying to soothe my dying breath, but that isn't logical is it? I snatched the untouched water bottle that watched my life drain through my eyes and ripped it open. Gurgling it down I asphyxiated like a fish out of water. A sense of content gently touched me.

Do you plan to weep until your last breath? I mumbled pinching the bridge of my nose. Finally standing on my two feet I found myself inside the mess you could call the living room. Switching on the TV the first thing to come out of the reporter's sickening mouth is what I outmost despised.

"-A nineteen-year-old woman who goes by [F/N] has been banned access to the Pokémon League. This is a break in history. Has no one ever been banned from the League Caleb?" Her eyes traveled over to her co-worker, and he smiled. "That's right! This woman has told us otherwise! Now let u-" I turned off the TV and rolled my itchy eyes.

"Could you shut up? That was so long ago, get over it," I clicked through my outdated phone and hovered over my mother's phone number. No, I shouldn't I was still under the weather and I don't want to bawl to my mother about it. She probably already knows. I groaned and slapped the phone closed. Without realizing it I felt something rubs against my back. My mood seemed to brighten up as I set my eyes on my childhood friend.

"Swampeert..." Swampert rubbed up against me trying to comfort me. I smiled and rubbed his bald blue head. "No need to worry buddy, I'll be alright. Sorry for worrying you." Swampert has always had the ability to make me feel like there is nothing to worry about. As long as we're together nothing can stop us. Not even some stupid exempt from an annoying League. "How about we do something today hmm? Just the two of us?" I asked my water-type friend. His eyes sparkled and bobbed his head. I laughed and grabbed Swamperts pokéball and exited the ruin I called home.

Swampert was a gift from my parents for my journey as a pokémon trainer. I took him under my wing, but it felt like he was babysitting me.
Me with my unruly attitude. He was my right-hand pokémon, my partner in crime and I could count on him anytime. We made new friends and discovered many bizarre things. Ever since the League, he could feel the burning sensation that laid dormant within me and he hid away not wanted to disturb me. It was never his fault, nor was it everyone else's. It was my idiocy and foolishness as a trainer that got us here. Now, it's time for me to accept my choices and move on from that fact.

Well, at least I'd hope so.

Me and the five feet tall water type played inside the glistening water. Even having my pants rolled up to my knees I still got wet from Swamperts powerful splashing. I got him with some water and he glared at me. I giggled and kicked up some more. He collided both his hands and swept the whole ocean my way. I watched in awe as the waterfall devours me. Gasping for breath I swam to shore and coughed up water. Swampert was right behind me and hummed worriedly. I laughed and patted his head. "That was great! Man, you sure are powerful!" I gleamed rubbing against the mudfish.

"Oh my God! It's her, hurry let's get an interview!" My ears perked from the sound and found a group of people in black charging my way. I gritted my teeth and looked at my blue friend. "Hurry Swampert!!" His head gently touched the white button and he traveled inside. I quickly got to my feet and ran for the forest. Grinning like the fool I was, the news reporters had no choice but to stay away from the forest. Like Prof. Birch always says, "never enter the forest without a pokémon."

Which was rather ironic, since I saved him from the wolves.

Bundled up in my mind I couldn't recognize the ditch I was charging after. With a quick kick, I tumbled inside it. I screamed and groaned after impact. This is a pain in my ass, I'm getting too old for this. I laid on my back and watched the trees shift in the wind. My hand slivered to my side only to touch nothing. I jumped and patted all of my pockets. My heart was pacing with horror as I deliberately scanned my surroundings. Nothing...

"Looking for someone?" I snapped my head to a laughing figure.

Half of his face was covered with a bandana and looked at me with dull, amused eyes. The pokéball danced in his hand. I growled and stepped closer to his position.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Just because you have my pokémon doesn't mean I can't kick your ass." I slowly crept closer watching his every move and intention. He swept his hands across his face and slowly chuckled.

"Woah~ I'm not here to pick a fight, I'm just here to send a message yo." My fists softened and I glared daggers at the blue-haired male. "My boss wants you to meet him at Ula'Ula island at Po town."

I scoffed, "Yeah, sure, whatever, just give me back the pokéball." The pokéball came flying and I snatched it.

"Better keep your word or we gonna have some problems."

He walked off and I did the same. I looked at the pokéball to see if there were any scratches. Thankfully there wasn't any.

"Dumbass! As if I'd trust a band of delinquents."

And down the drain, we go! Hopefully, I don't die halfway through like most of my stories.
