No One Likes Sore Losers

 The other crew was dressed in black and green, an emblem of a snake on the back of their jackets, and underneath the logo spelled The Serpents. This wasn't the first time Sehun heard of the name. Not only they had one of the fastest bikers in the Seoul district, but they also didn't play fair. Junmyeon warned Sehun about how they could tamper with bikes if left unattended, or even distract you into crashing into a tree. That happened to other bikers in the past who challenged to race them.

"Hyung," Sehun whispered to Junmyeon, "is that the crew that you were talking about?"

Junmyeon nodded. The other gang lined up in the dirt, facing a long deserted road alongside Junmyeon's crew. Chanyeol and the other members of the club, Minseok, and Jongin who he got to meet earlier also lined up, waiting for the race to begin. 

The short guy with the snake logo decided to break the ice first by walking up to their crew, taking off his bike helmet. He smiled, brushing back his short dark hair.

"It's nice to finally schedule to race with your little crew, Junmyeon." the guy said, reaching out his hand.

"I'm Kyungsoo, the leader of The Serpent crew." He faced Sehun and grinned, even more wildly, staring intensively at him with shiny eyes.

"This must be the new guy in the crew. I haven't seen him the last time we raced."

"Well, that was a while ago," Junmyeon scoffed, "His name is-"

"I'm Sehun." Sehun folded his arms, glaring. Kyungsoo replied, "Nice to meet you, Sehun. You seem pretty young. Are you sure your parents don't mind you being out this late?"

Sehun's eyes lit in anger, but he tried his best not to express a reaction. His blood boiled, but he knew he was only teasing him to stir drama.

"I look young," Sehun smirked, "I'll take that as a compliment."

"Oh, that wasn't a compliment," Kyungsoo sneered, "you look like an amateur so I'm sure this race will be a piece of cake."

Sehun yawned, "You need to work on your insults. I'm very bored of you now."

Two more members walked to meet by Kyungsoo's side. Kyungsoo cleared his throat, "Okay, enough chatting. Let's race. I choose Baekhyun and Jongdae for the 3 by 3 race."

Chanyeol suddenly stepped alongside Junmyeon and Sehun.

"Chanyeol and Sehun," Junmyeon replied. "Don't underestimate and disrespect my crew ever again. You'll see why."

One of the bikers from The Serpents lined between Sehun and Jongdae to set the race. The competitors revved their bike engines to prep for a fast start. Focused but also nervous, Sehun breathed slowly in his helmet. He faced straight ahead, eyes on Chanyeol across the way. Not only he was nervous about getting to his teammate before his competitor, but he was also mainly concerned about beating Junmyeon's lap time. All Sehun wanted to do was beat 20 seconds by the time he crosses the line and passes the race to Chanyeol. 

"Less than 20 seconds," he murmured to himself. Sehun felt himself sweating, fighting his nerves as he heard the 5-second countdown to begin the race.

"Five..."

Focus, he thought.

"Four... three..."

Jongdae revs his engine louder, shifting himself in his motorcycle.

"Two..." Sehun felt like he couldn't breathe...

"One..." A flag waved a second after, and Sehun slammed on his gas, flying ahead alongside Jongdae. Dust flew in the air as both bikers took off like a rocket, leaving the crowd of bikers egging them on.
