the Malphealous chronicles

chapter three

( hey so this chapter might be short so I'm sorry but I also wanted to let y'all know I'm working on three stories so please bear with me )

There was a cool breeze that blew along the lakeshore spreading the scent of freshly blooming flowers that were on the other side of the lake
I smiled smelling the fresh air  and exhaling  with a sigh
I loved this place it always made me feel better. I don't know why I like this place so much but it had always calmed me down
Which I guess why Jasper brought me here,
Laying back on the grass I looked up at the blue sky resting behind some fluffy white clouds and swaying green trees blowing in the wind

It was all so peaceful there and the place was always clean due to people hardly going there so it was always clean and plus cable makes Jasper clean it up if there was trash there.
I closed my eyes and sighed in happiness there wasn't anything that could ruin, this it was perfect here
I was hit with a wave of sleepiness I became so tired all of a sudden i didn't know where it came from but I was so comfortable that I didn't want to move and I eventually started to doze off.
My body allowing sleep to take over and i didn't resist because no matter how much I sleep I am always tired,

Jasper pov

With a deep and heavy sigh, i watched as cable fell asleep on the soft green grass
Looking peaceful and calm which was a good thing because i had noticed his odd behavior and a small burst of power

Oh! If you didn't know everyone has a little bit of power that jolt of energy you feel followed by a tingling feeling  that's it....every human has it even if it's not very strong
But the humans write  it off as a kind of weird brain science thing
I find it all hard to understand it was funny they didn't know the truth which was good.
If you're wondering what I'm talking about ill explain it
Too long and forever ago
There were...eh um Gaia and her kin
Then the Titans than the gods next were ant people but the gods were scared of them which is stupid after that before. Are demigods
Now back to the ant people
The gods cut them in half made which resulted in  'humans' they have powers but it's very very very very very very water down, anyways years down the road
The monsters called us mystical creatures. Monsters
And so we monsters went into hiding away from them pretending to be them from time to time and yes I am a monster

Cable is one to he just doesn't know it, I can't let him know because I saw him as a brother maybe more I'm not too sure,  just have feelings is all I know, being around him for so long it does that to a person.
Giving yet another sigh I walked over to him and sat next to him looking down at him
Moving a few. Stray hair off his face 
He looked so peaceful sleeping here, he loved this spot mainly because this is where I found him a long time ago when he was in a coma
He loved sleeping, in general, I just like to watch him I like seeing how such a quiet yet loud, anger issued, stubborn, depressed person like cable could look so innocent and at peace
Shaking my head I. Took off my jacket and places it on cable so he wouldn't get too cold
It was very chilly outside i can't have him getting sick. Sure I don't care if I get sick which is nearly impossible.
Walking to the car i sling the door open and grabbed my phone
I need to make a few calls before he wakes up

One Ring.....

Two.ring...

Three....four......
" Hello?"

" Hey, its Jasper i was just calling to check up. How is everything going? Anything knew??"

"Slow the hell down its 3 am here!!.."  The voice yelled at Jasper making him pull the phone away from his ear
With a sight coming from the phone the voice spoke again this time sounding more awake

"Now..everything is fine i guess but there have been lots of talk of an old occult in hour area. Some believe it's the.....you know... The malphealous occult."   The voice said kinda scared to say that name
My eyes flicked over to cable he rolled over on his side the grass around him slowly turning. Dark
This was normal
This was his powers decay 
I'm glad my jacket was protected by my powers

" yeah they are getting worse i already saw a few here...i think they are planning to sacrifice someone to the gods...and we both know there is only one being that they worship like that....what should happen? ..we need to take them out " I said taking my eyes off of him and sighed.
I looked at the blue sky and listen to my friend breath

"How is he?..you know who I'm talking about....i have to ask every time..even if you hardly say a word about him...how are his powers? Or are they still wack?"

"He is...ok how mood swings are still there....but his powers.....yeah.only with his emotions and when he sleeps which is all the time...but i clean up after hi-"

"Does he remember anything? You know who is gonna wanna know..if his powers are still wack he might notice..and start asking questions...i don't care what the gods say he will have to be told one day and i feel it coming soon  ..too soon to my liking...you feel it too"

I knew what he was talking about i and couldn't help but admit how much of the truth he was speaking...i felt it too
But i had to deny it. Mainly because i couldn't imagine cable learning the truth the look on his face..the look in his eyes  it would be something that just might plate my nightmares forever

"I can't lie i have but ...you know me I'm not going to let that happen he isn't ready, " i said and hung up on my friend if i could even call him that
I sat in my car for a while longer closing my eyes
