'Akara'
This is yet another story about how someone, who struggled with her real identity, learned that there is so much more to life than just the destination you are heading to. This is the true told story of Imani
Prequel
A scream filled the damp bathroom as the rain started to clear and let the first rays of sunshine push through the clouds. An exhausted woman breathed heavy and looked around the room. There were only two other people in the room, the sister of the woman and the tiny person the sister was holding in her arms. The baby wasn’t crying but it was not a bad thing, the little girl was just looking. She looked up to her aunt with a set of extraordinary green eyes and just looked. As the aunt was mesmerized by the intriguing eyes of her niece the mother whispered her last words to both of the women “Dole ka yi Imani…”. And this day Imani breathed her first breath as her mother breathed her last one.
