BEFORE I WAS DRAGGED TO HELL, I WAS HAPPY. The life I made behind my caretaker's back made me feel human, happy even. But just like life, happiness had to be cut short.

My human life was cut short by a demon. I still can't remember what exactly happened, but I knew it was him.

He said it was my fault; my fault that I turned to this creature that could not die. That I was a bad apple in my old life, and he was the juryman of it, and as punishment, he turned me into this thing, and I started to believe it more and more as time went by.

And while I wanted to make my life a little better, I knew I could not do it. Not while the beast of the jungle was breathing behind my neck and looking at me through the mirror.

I learned to be with it, to ignore it. Did I hate it? I could not. Not while it was a part of me, a part that always had something to say.

The reflection of myself was looking at me with a smirk. A smirk that said: I know something that you don't know. And like I always do, I hid it with another silk sheet and walked away. I used to dislike looking at my reflection. Now I ignore it. That is the reason why every mirror in my apartment is with silk sheets. That is why I avoid anything with my reflection on it because that reflection of myself with veiny coal eyes and ominous words was going to win if I listen to it.

It's been ten years since it was with me, and I had to bear with it.

After work, I would always go to Tino's. A sub shop where me and my friend, Mia Galore, could hang out whenever we wanted. If it was not in her house, then it was in here. We would always sit down close to a window and, while we waited, talk about anything. Now, Mia is quiet. She was always talking non-stop with me, but now, she is starting to freak me out.

"Mia" I called her out, her round blue eyes watching me while I put our usual orders on the table. "You've been quiet today. Is everything okay?"

Mia sighed. "I want to ask you something, Lizzie, can I?"
