Ok.
I hope you guys enjoy this because I'm kinda doing this instead of my project. right the art up top is not mine but, minus the people, this is the closest I could find to the painting mentioned in a few paragraphs.
....
The library was as lonely and silent as ever. WangJi stood in front of the wooden panels that stoically modelled the picture gallery. There were landscapes and portraits, some with the skill like that of a preschool child but also others that were worthy of much praise. The painters themselves were anonymous, the only thing known was that they were painted by second-year students.
WangJi recognized SiZhui's tracing ability, he had drawn a Guqin and a jade flute, probably in recognition of the people he most admired, SiZhui's work was the most outstanding, even his position was privileged, being on an individual panel in the middle of the small room. WangJi looked up to continue appreciating the only painting that seemed to interest him.
It appearance was simple, the lines faltering, but the most admirable part was the incredible use of colours. The panorama was of a lotus pier, with a wooden path that connected to a small kiosk. Nothing outstanding for others but absolutely perfect in the eyes of the younger Lan.
"There are better ones than ..." commented another classmate as he crossed his arms.
The cold look from WangJi stopped cold his criticism. The boy clicked his tongue with annoyance as he walked to the exit to return to his classroom. WangJi could be young but that did not prevent people from feeling quite uncomfortable when standing close to him, always with his cold and distant attitude, his beauty was a total waste.
"Have you found the books you were looking for HanGuang-Jun?" Huaisang asked shyly, covering his mouth with the back of his hand, afraid that his voice would sound too loud.
"Mn"
While they left the library, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng entered the exhibition room.
"Why did you drag me here?" Jiang Cheng grunted, twisting out of his adopted brother's grip. Frowning, he began to shake off his uniform. "What are you doing now?"
Wei Ying had a warm, almost innocent smile that caused an unusual flutter in Jiang Cheng's stomach causing him to look away. Who would not feel overwhelmed before Wei Ying? Always natural, always empathetic, his altruistic and cheerful personality made people feel comfortable in his presence ... they would be captivated. And he, of course, was no exception.
When he met Wei Wuxian he considered him an invader in his home, hating him childishly when his father forced him to say goodbye to his puppies and although he stubbornly refused to meet him, Wei Ying patiently persuaded him, protected him and encouraged him. Wei Ying became his older brother and then his first love, but there was a problem: Wei Wuxian was not seriously interested in anything, or anyone. Probably out of fear of abandonment, the boy was scared to get attached and thus not missing it when he lost it. Jiang Cheng who was usually involved with almost everything that Wei Ying did, observed first hand how he is, becoming the special person for many and although at the time, he invested all his attention on those who needed him, after a few days the young man forgot to continue with his own life. The same thing happened with the few girls who managed to have a relationship with Wei Ying, always being forgotten. Seeing the final result, Jiang Cheng kept his feelings hidden, working hard until he could again have an image of a brother for Wei Ying. He did not want a rejection that would affect the tenuous family atmosphere that they had achieved after a long time.
"I saw Lan Zhan entering the showroom, so ... I thought I could see him."
"Lan WangJi?" He frowned, "Your strange attention on him makes me sick, before you were not so annoying ..." He remained silent, watching him thoughtfully. Remembering when they had been younger, it was the middle of the year and from the first day that the junior Jade started classes, Wei Ying did not stop bothering him. Wei Wuxian who was used to not getting seriously involved with people, who easily forgot peoples faces and names, had not stopped frequenting and looking for Lan WangJi. The thought had caused a slight sting in his chest, Jiang Cheng had already overcome his love for Wuxian but that did not stop the feeling of distress when he sensed that the interest that his friend had given him had been directed to the minor jade. The special attention was very different from what he gave to others, even a bit different from what he received.
