Jennie POV

I was abruptly woken by the sound of a door smashing. I felt Lisa's hand squeeze mine tightly. I rubbed my eyes and tried to see what was going on. I saw two men standing in Lisa's room. One of them wore a doctor's coat, the other one looked more like a security guard. Lisa scrambled back on her bed, getting as close to me as possible. I looked from the men, to Lisa, back to them. "What do you want?" I asked rudely, ready to protect her if I had to.

"No worries miss, it's time for miss Lisa's monthly tests. I cocked my head in confusion, looking at Lisa for answers. She just shook her head, eyes widening at the word 'tests'. The tough looking guy came to us and seperated our hands.

"Hey!" I tried stopping him, already understanding Lisa had no interest in taking tests. But the guard brushed me off like a feather and guided Lisa away. The doctor lead them out the room. I hurried after them, not forgetting to mumble the whole swear vocabulary under my breath.

Outside the room stood Chaeyoung, waiting for me. "Jennie!" I rushed towards her as we speed walked after Lisa and the two men, going to another part of the hospital.

"Chae, what the hell is going on?"

Chaeyoung handed me a file and started explaining. "Every month, this doctor gives Lisa a few tests to see if she's getting better," I looked at the file. "But every time Lisa panics and the tests fail, she's no longer willing to cooperate with us."

I looked at her. "Why didn't you tell me this? I could've prepared her."

Chaeyoung nodded. "I know and I'm sorry, but the doctor is going to try some new tests, so I didn't know what to expect either.

I nodded understandingly. "We'll just have to see how it goes then."

-

The testing room was small. It was kinda like in a police station,  nothing on one side, a table with two chairs, a camera and microphone on the other side, separated by a glass window. Lisa was seated in one chair, the doctor in the other. Chaeyoung and I stood behind the window.

Consumed by my nerves, I started biting my nails. We could hear everything going on inside the room. The doctor began with asking a few questions. Just basic things like 'what's your name?', 'where are you from?' etc. Lisa just stared at the table, saying nothing.

I expected this outcome, we all know she hasn't said anything since she came here.

Then the doctor displayed a few things on the table. Pictures, objects and clothing. "He's never done this before.." Chaeyoung whispered. I nodded and nervously watched.

"Okay Lisa, I'm going to show you some pictures, and you point out which one you dislike the most, okay?" Lisa nodded. The doctor showed her three pictures. One of a girl, one of a dog, and one of a family. Lisa didn't hesitate to point at the family. The doctor nodded and showed her three new ones. Everytime, Lisa would pick the pictures that another displayed family or anything in that direction. Now the doctor was going to show her objects. She had to pick the object she liked most, and she could keep them.

It was going well, until he showed her the last objects. A doll, a basket and a belt. Lisa started shaking, her hands gripping the table tightly. I panicked and looked at Chaeyoung, who couldn't draw her eyes away from the scene. Lisa shook her head heavily, closing her eyes.

I walked to the door that seperated the rooms. The guard standing in front of it stopped me.

"Oh no you bastard, let me in!" The guard remained I his position. "LET ME THE FUCK IN, SHE NEEDS ME!" I yelled at him.

"Jennie.." I heard Chaeyoung behind me.

But I wasn't gonna give up, this bastard was going to get out of my way. I used all my strength to push him over. I grabbed his shoulders and yanked him forward, placing my foot in front of his to bring him out of balance. It worked, and I pulled the door open. Lisa was still shaking in her chair, eyes closed.

"What are you doi--" I ignored the doctor and pushed him over. I kneeled in front of Lisa and grabbed her hands.

"It's okay Lili, I'm here now.." Lisa's eyes shot open, looking directly into mine. I smiled reassuringly, letting her know she's safe. Lisa let go of the table and dropped herself in my arms. She hugged my neck tightly, not planning to let go. I wrapped my arms around her waist. I slowly got up with her clinging onto me. I put my hands under her thighs to support her weight and made my way out of the room.

When we got back in Lisa's room, I carefully set her on the bed. But Lisa wouldn't let go of me, she was still shaking a little. I sighed, sitting down on the bed with Lisa on my lap. I stroked her hair softly, humming the same calming song I did yesterday. After a few minutes, Lisa stopped trembling and relaxed a little. "Now now, those tests weren't fun, huh?" Lisa shook her head.

"It's alright Lili, I'm with you." I rocked us back and forth, feeling Lisa's arms loosen around my neck.  She was getting tired. I was about to stand up to tuck her in, when I heard something. It was faint, almost inaudible, but it was there. Very very softly, I heard Lisa whisper.

"Thank you Nini..."

A/N:

Sorry sorry sorryyyy, I hate doing author's notes, but there's something I have to let you know. I already made one A/N before and there I explained something happened to me. That same problem got worse lately, and I've been very depressed about it. I didn't eat or sleep, and cried a lot. My mom got so worried about me, she went through my stuff when I wasn't home. She found things I wrote, drawings I made and other stuff...she talked to me about it and we decided I have to see a doctor and a psychologist. I have to be tested for ODD as well, and it's really a lot to take in for me. I won't update as much anymore because I really really can't concentrate on anything right now. My mind is a chaos and I have to figure thing out first. Again, I'm so sorry.. I hope you can forgive me and will bear with me.. until Friday, I'll upload everything I wrote already, promise.
