Chapter one

I woke up to a new day "wow what a great day" I said to myself. Today is my last day in high school am somehow happy because finally am free to date who ever I wish to date.
Let me just tell you a little tale about me my name is Katrina Keller aka "kk" but my family and friends do call me Ruby because my dad said am like a gem to him that means I am precious to him because I'm the first child, i'm very proud of my body colour am black not very black though just chocolate in colour with a short hair due to my parent, i'm from family of six being the eldest child my parents made sure I didn't have any boyfriend or suitor they wanted me to finish my high school first. so that is the little thing I have to say about myself so going back to the reality I went to the kitchen to do the dishes then went to take my bath changing my clothes to something cool I don't like wearing something flashy  you can say am not cool in dressing and am not out going and I'm always shy so am set walking to the bus park didn't take long to get there and it was not stressful because am used to it.

when I got to school I went straight to my locker then my best friend came to meet me Sarah she is beautiful and has blonde hair and blue eye lens unlike me I got my black hair from my parents and brown eye lens from my Dad, Sarah is outgoing unlike me and she my one and only friend"best friend" so we went into the classroom together then Sarah said "Ruby am so happy today " "why?" I asked "because finally am going to do it with Tom" she said and I was like wow I asked her if she knows what she getting her self into and she said she is aware then she asked me "oh Ruby when are you going to have sex?" and I was shocked not able to say anything because I know I can't do that shit now me being a virgin I like it that way and am not letting anybody to take that from me.

Sarah! Someone called out I think I know that voice it belongs to Tom I turned my head to look at him well he is good looking but I don't think he is good enough for my best friend but I got to support her since that's what she want, I gave him a fake smile while Sarah was smiling and blushing at the same time I rolled my eyes oh God save my best friend please "so how are you guys doing?" Tom asked us I quickly answered him because Sarah is busy checking him out "we are good" then Tom asked Sarah to come with him Sarah looked at me with an apology look "am sorry" I signed telling her not to worry about me that am okay then both of them left me standing alone while Tom giving me one last look I said to my self I don't like this guy.

I went back to the library I really do love reading I think that is my hobby, sitting down I thought to my self who is going to ask me out? Please don't get me wrong I do have a lot of guys chasing me including Max Schewester one of the most popular guy in my school but i don't like him because he is always around disturbing me calling me his girlfriend making everyone believe we are dating including my siblings, all i have to is to avoid him but that's not easy to do because we are always together in the classroom because we have almost the same subject although he is brilliant I still don't like him because the one person I wish for is Alex Water but unfortunately for me he has girlfriend and even though he does not have a girlfriend I don't think he can date someone like me I just thank God am finally leaving this high school and I promise myself any guy that ask me first is the guy am going to date either I like him or not.
