Ch. 1: I know your secret

After spending the summer Vacation in Hawaii with their sister Elena and her boyfriend Austin, they're back and its already the first day of school. It's a free period, so James and Jake were outside sitting in grass enjoying the little while of summer that's still remaining.

They were waiting for their childhood friend and their only girl best friend, Kara since they had something ‘very Important' to talk about.

Kara stepped out of the school door and as soon as she spotted the twins, she walked to them. Without any greeting she took out a piece of paper out of her jeans pocket and faced it to them. “What is this? what do you know!" she narrowed her eyes, giving them one of her serious looks.

Jake took the paper from her hand and read it out loud “We know your secret. Meet us outside in the next hour".

James chuckled and said “Well hello to you too". He patted his palm on the grass beside him.

Kara thought to herself for a while, playing with the tips of her brown hair. But soon gave up and down “Spill it assholes!" she said through her grinding teeth.

The two brothers were keeping their silence for a while more, to enjoy Kara's frustration. “Well its a person you speciallylike—", “or so we've heard" James says jokingly interrupting Jake. “K-Y-L—" Jake stopped himself when he saw Kara's expression change.

She had her eyes widened as her cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink. “how the fuck do you two kno— Omg. Did Kyle say something in practice? What did he say? What does he think about me? An—" She stopped panicking as soon as she saw them high-fiving eachother laughing. She narrowed her eyes at them waiting for them to be finished.

Jake kept laughing but James was atleast trying to stop by persuing his lips. But a total fail! “Shhh. ok Jake. let's stop!" James said between his laughs putting his finger on his lips. Only when Kara pretended to walk away, did they stop. “Okay okay. sorry. I'll tell you how we found out" Jake grabbed her leg, eyes still watery from so much laughing.

She sat down and he began. “Yesterday, After the football practice, we heard him talking to his friends about how cute you are and so on. Urg i hate such kitschy stuff. I mean we're in High School, who needs LOVE? Now is the time for ‘Experience'" Jake smirked at his last word.

“So wait, let me get this right. He likes me?!" Kara's frustration was now far gone and in its place was a huge grin taking over her face. Of course she ignored that useless comment from his ‘cough (manwhore) chough' best friend(s).

“I guess!" James answered even though he knew she didn't asked that as a question. “But seriously. Why Kyle? i mean i understand himliking youbut you liking him? Seriously??!" He flinches at Kara.

She rolled her eyes leaving out a quick groan. Soon a smile took over her lips when she came up with an idea.

“WHATEVER... its not like i don't know about your secret!" Kara smirkes, the hint of evilness showing in her eyes.

The twins snap their eyes at her, then at themselves and then back at her.

“Oh. my. god. So you BOTH have crushes?” she covers her mouth with her palm dramatically.

“Who is it??!” Neither of them speaks. “Jake! who is it?” he keeps on staring at his shoes, acting as if he never heard her. “James. c'mon tell me!” he does the same.

“Alright then, i'm guessing!" she sits comfortably, hugging her legs and bringing out her thinking look on her face.

“Ciara?" she tries her first guess.

Both of them flinch.

“Jenifer J?" Jake smirkes at James.

“Already happened!" James replies to Kara with his mischievous smile.

She rolles her eyes at them and continues saying out some more names.

And After her MANY awful guesses, the twins decide to say out their crush's name in the count of 3.

1... 2... 3— “DIANA" both of them shout.

James snaps his eyes at his brother,  who is already staring back at him. They had their eyes poped out, mouth forming an ‘O' and eyebrows far above from where they should be.

“Oh. My. God!" Kara snorted pursuing her lips, trying her harderst to keep this serious atmosphere for a little while longer. “This! Is gonna be a HELL of a year!!" she said giving up and letting her Laughs come out. Grabbing her stomach, she fell back, rolling herself on the grass, laughing like a mad man.
