Chapter 9

Michael jumped up and kicked the chair to the ground. "Why? Why is this happening? What did she ever do to deserve this?" He yelled.

"Michael please calm down." The doctor said calmly

"Dont you tell me to fuckin calm down. Would you calm down if the one you loved had cancer?" He questioned. The doctor shook his head. "Im sorry Michael."

The doctor got up and walked to him. He held out a card. "Here. This is the refferal to the oncologist I contacted. His name is Dr.Sellars. Hes really good. He took good care of my wife when she had cancer. Today shes cancer free. Been going on five years. I wish you the best of luck." He said patting Michael on the back. Michael took the card.

" Thanks for all of your help. Where is she please?" He asked.

"In the lobby waiting with your assistant." The doctor said. Michael nodded and walked out the door. He ran to Mia and got on his knees. "Mia....honey. Are you ok?" He asked

She simply nodded and held Michaels hands. "Michael....i dont wanna die. Please...dont let me die. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you." She cried softly. Michael shushed her and kissed her cheek.

"As long as Im here on Earth, we are going to be together no matter what. I love you Mia. You've changed my life. From the day I met you at the concert, all the way till now. I wanna take this to the next level. Marry me babygirl." He said crying.

Mia looked up at him and smiled. "Yes Michael yes!" She said happily. He hugged her and gave her a kiss. "I love you." He said. "I love you too Michael." Everybody clapped and cheered. "Congradulations you two." The nurse said. "Awww Michael" Nina said wiping her tears.

*At home*

Michael called everyone and let them know that he and Mia were getting married. The family came over that night to comfort Mia and celebrate their engagement.

"Yo Mike! Cut me a piece of cake!" Jermaine called from the front room.

"It'll be 2020 before you get a piece of this good cake!" Michael joked.

"Dont make me come in there and get my own!" Jermaine warned. Michael walked in with the cake and handed it to him. "Just shut up and eat your cake." Michael said laughing. "Thank you kindly bro. Now was that so hard?" He said. They both laughed.

Joseph came in and sat on the couch. "Shes in the bedroom with Janet. They'll be down in a minute." He said. "Thank you Joseph." Michael said. Just then Mia and Janet walked down and Janet sat down. Mia kissed Michael on the cheek and sat down next to him. "We were talking about the wedding plans." Janet said smiling. Everybody beamed and Michael got up.

"Im getting married!" He yelled. Everybody laughed. Marlon got up and walked to him. "Im happy for you bro. You and Mia make a great pair." He said. Michael hugged his brother and the men went to the porch to talk.

"Lets go girls!" Latoya said laughing. Janet took Mia's hand and the girls went to her room. Katherine patted Joe and they went to the kitchen with Nina.

Janet and Latoya were talking about the theme of the wedding. "Well, ive always loved the Paris themes." Mia said.

Janet nodded. "The decorations they have just blow my breath away. I love that idea. How about the colors?"she asked.

"A blue and white? Maybe silver added into there?" Mia asked. "Yea. Nice sis." Janet said. Latoya nodded and smiled. "What about some white doves? And the effiel tower can be set up as a backdrop behind the altar." Latoya suggested. Mia and Janet smiled. "We like it!" They said. Mia hugged her new sisters and thanked them.

"Thanks to you guys this is going to be the best wedding ever. I love you guys." She said happily. "We love you too Mia!" They said hugging her.

The family left and it was just Mia and Michael. They took a shower and laid in bed. "What are you thinking about?" Michael asked quietly."

"Us." She said smiling. He turned over and carresed her cheek. "We can get through this. Days may be worser than others, but just know that I will be here no matter what." He assured her. She smiled and kissed him. "I cant wait to become Mrs. Michael Jackson." She whispered. He smiled and pulled her closer.

"In my book you already were baby." He said. She smiled and they kissed for a minute. "Get some rest baby. You got a doctor to see tommorow. And i finshed the album. I almost forgot to tell you." He said smiling. Mia smiled "Im proud of you baby! Tommorow we have to celebrate, and i wanma hear that song you promised me." She reminded.

He giggled. "You got it kitten." He said cutting the lights off. Michael pulled her close and they both fell asleep.
