Chapter 12

Michael woke up and called Janet. "Hey bro, whats up?" she asked

"Janet...I need you to do me a favor." he said

"What is it?" she asked

"I need you to go with Mia to make more preporations for the wedding. Her mother called last night and I need to pick her up from the airport."

"Alright. What time do you need me to be there?"

"Can you come around 11?"

"Sure thing! See ya then!" she said

"Thanks Tink...you're the best." he said

"Dont sweat it brother." she said back

Mia woke up and found Michael in his office on the computer. "Morning Mikey." she said kissing him on the cheek.

"Morning sweetpea. Did you have a good sleep?" he asked

"Yes I did. So, what time are we leaving for the wedding appointment?" she asked. "Actually baby, Janet is gonna go with you while I pick your mother up from the airport. Is that ok with you?" he asked

"No way. Its fine. Janet and I are gonna have a blast!" she replied. He laughed. "Well ok. You girls stay out of trouble." he said smiling. "We will." she said hugging him. She went to go take a shower and Janet was dowmstairs in the living room.

"Janet! You're here!" Mia said hugging her.

Janet giggled and hugged her back. "You ready to plan this wedding?" she asked

"Yea. Let's go. Did you want somethin to eat?"

"That's ok. I grabbed a muffin from the kitchen."

"Cool. Michael we're leaving!" Mia called

Michael came to the balcony of the steps and smiled. "Ok, be careful you two. See you tonight." he said waving goodbye. They were out the door and was on their way to the wedding arrangements place.

*Meanwhile*

Ryan hopped in his car with his new girlfriend Tina. "Hurry up Tina! We're going to be late!" he called from the car.

"Im comin dammit!" she called from the house. Just then she walked out and locked the door. She got in the car and gave Ryan a pissed off look.

"Since when you get off rushing people?" she asked

"Well, stop slowing around and be on time!" he said driving off.

*At the wedding place*

"Oh my god! You can actually do ALL THAT for our wedding?" she asked the wedding planner Ramon. He nodded

"We can have these beautiful drapes, and right at the altar we'll have the statue of the Eiffel Tower. The band can assemble theirselves right by it, and your bridesmaids can stand on the steps. If you want, we can have floating angels. They can hang from the ceiling."

Mia and Janet nodded. "We were trying to incorporate her theme and his theme together. A Magical Night in Paris, mixed with a slice of heaven." Janet said smiling

"I love it! And Ramon, we've decided on white and light blue for our colors, and some silver." Mia said

"We'll get right to it. This wedding will be one people will never forget!" he said getting up and walking away. Janet and Mia giggled.

"I agree on that statement." Janet said. They both laughed and got ready to go.

"Wait a minute....RAMON ARE YOU GOIN TO HANG REAL PEOPLE FROM THE CEILING?!"

Ramon giggled. "Yes. Its perfectly safe. We've actually tested the idea, but we've never really offered it to a couple, but I think your theme is perfect for this idea."

"I hope no one gets injured." Mia said worriedly

"Oh boy." Janet said playfully rolling her eyes. "Come on sis, let's go. We still have a flower appointment!" she said grabbing Mia's hand. She smiled and they were headed to the florist.

*Back to Ryan and Tina*

"We have to take a trip to the florist. I have to get some roses from my mother." Ryan said

"All you care about is her! Do you ever give me flowers?"

"Shut up Tina. My mother is recovering from a bad cold and all you can think about is yourself?"

"Whatever. Let's just get this over with"

*Later on that night*

Mia's mother was sitting in the kitchen talking to Michael. Mia and Janet were running late and Michael was getting worried. "You have such a lovely home Michael. So full of art and life!" her mother said. "Thank you Mary." Michael said.

Just then the door opened and they walked in with a pink box. "Hey baby." Mia said kissing him on the cheek. She turned around and saw her mother. She was a little pale, she had lost weight, and her hair was a little bit shorter than the last time she saw her.

"Oh honey you look wonderful!" her mother said hugging her. She smiled, happy to have her mother close to her once again. "Mom...Im so glad you're here. Im glad you're ok." she said smiling. She kissed her mother on the cheek and walked to Michael. "So, you guys talk about me?" she joked.

"Just a little." Mary said laughing. Michael giggled and pointed to the box. "What's in the box?"

"Oh...Janet and I got a sweet tooth. We went to Mrs.Lottie's and got some chocolates. We waited until we got here to share." Mia said smiling.

"Well open the box! My sweet tooth cant wait any longer!" Janet said giggling. "By the way...Im Janet. Michael's sister. Nice to meet you." she said shaking Mary's hand. Mary smiled and talked to Janet. Mia opened the box and Michael grabbed a chocolate. "Man Mrs.Lottie is the bomb!" he said chewing with delight. They all laughed. "She said that she can make some for our wedding. She's gonna give me a discount because Im one of her favorite customers, and Janet." Mia said giggling. They all laughed

They all sat and ate chocolate; hanging out like a normal family. Mia was so happy that she could put the past behind her finally. She was satisfied with her mother being here today, here for one of the greatest times of her life.

"We should all get some rest." Michael said. They all nodded and headed upstairs. "Mike Im gonna crash here tonight." Janet said. "You know you can stay here anytime you want. You gotta room here." Michael said. "Thanks bro." she said kissing him on the cheek.

Michael and Mia layed down and Mia scooted closer to him and he kissed her cheek. "Thank you Michael. Thank you for bringing her to me. That's all I wanted, for her to be here with me, knowing that she's alright." she said

"Dont worry about it sweetheart. I told you, when you need me Ill be here. Ill give you the world." he said rubbing her back. "I love you." she said. "I love you too." he said back
