As I sit alone
Banished by society
I write in silence
•
•
•
The world stares me down
As I stare into its face
I know I have won
•
•
•
I lie on the floor
Pouring my soul on the page
Alone with my thoughts
•
•
•
I am painted black
But a rainbow lives within
But must stay hidden
•
•
•
People always judge
They target the insecure
And kill them inside
•
•
•
I see the leaves fall
They now have just one purpose
That is to be crushed
•
•
•
I hear the music
But with shyness I must stay
For it is my place
•
•
•
I stare at the page
It remains empty of all
Blank with nothingness
•
•
•
The search I must start
For the answers allude me
Slipping out of reach
•
•
•
My mind remains bright
Society's light is gone
For it has faded
•
•
•
This book stays secret
Hidden from all those who care
My thoughts must stay mine
•
•
•
I'm tempted to share
Sadly I know I cannot
For I will be judged
•
