The Possessive CEO

Chapter 1

Serena POV

            "Oh God, I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! She's going to kill me" I chanted in my mind or out loud I don't know. "She's going to kill me! She's going to kill me! I am so dead!" I say repeatedly. I am practically running around my apartment like a crazy clown is after me with a chain a very large chainsaw. Kim might look like a shy and polite but if you get on her bad side she will eat you alive or better yet attack you, trust me you really don't want her on her wrong side. It will scar anyone for life.

           Finally, after running around for hours, I arrived at the Starbucks a little late or a lot a late. I stand at the entrance looking for Kim after 5 minutes of looking around I noticed she was here, so I decided to call her. I took out my phone and dialed her number, it rung and rung and rung until I heard "Sorry the number you have dialed is..........blah...blah.....blah."

         'Shit' I curse in my mind, please don't tell me that she left me alone to find my way to work she knows my memory to find or go to an unfamiliar place. Not mention this is my first day as the secretary for CEO of Damian Santiago's Enterprises well it is just my luck can't wait to see what else today will bring because is going very crappy so far. Maybe it's not all bad, I'm just going to have to grab a cab sigh ten dollars down right down the drain. So much for saving and carpooling, it's still kind of my fault for running late anyways.

         I walked right back out the Starbucks and hailed a cab, lucky enough one stopped right away and I thought to myself "at last something came out of the bad day so far". I got in and said to the driver "Damian Santiago's Enterprises please and make it fast, I'm late, thanks" and got the reply of a side eye and a 'K'. It's already 7:48am and I need to be there by 8:00am. To think of it, the driver is moving a little too slow for my liking. "Could you step on it please, I'll even give you two dollars more OK, OK good now get going" as soon as I said that he stepped on the gas and thank God he did cause I have less than ten minutes left to reach.

         In no time I reach in front the building of Damian Santiago's Enterprises and I paid the cab driver his payment with extra two dollars as promised. After he is paid I made a sprint to get in the building at my station, I only have three minutes remaining. As I sprint in I bumped someone going in but that did not stop me I just yell over my shoulder "sorry" and kept going until I reached my desk breathing real hard like I just run a 10k marathon race. I took a look around and noticed the CEO is not here yet so I took a deep breath smooth out my hair and myself presentable and look busy. Luckily this is a private floor for the CEO, his secretary and once in a while his PA.

        Thank god he is not here yet to witness my melt down and just as I thought that I see Mr. Santiago coming in looking impressive and on top of the world.

         As he walked pass he did not even spear me a glance just a "get me a coffee in the next 5 minutes, strong and all black one sugar" and just like that he went right in his office. I mean I didn't even get a word in at all and come to think of it he didn't even say Good Morning at all. I sigh and take a deep breath, at least he didn't see me when I just came in. I went to the small kitchen on the floor and to say it is pretty impressive, I made his coffee just as he ordered and made my way back to his office but not before taking up my work tablet.

         I arrive outside his door and knock to hear him yell from the other side "come in Ms. Matthews", I went right in straight to his desk and placed the coffee on his desk with a Good Morning. He did not even return the greeting he just started barking out order for me to finish. I just say "yes sir" and got right out of there to get all my long lists of tasks complete before Mr. can't look at me decides to add more.

       I didn't even get to see his face at all, I mean they say he is very handsome and drop dead gorgeous but I can't even judge him to give a rate for Kim later because I can't see his face and didn't see him for the job interview. I was hired by the people at HR Department. Today is going to be a long ass day, it's just started and I'm already tired.
