Our Home, Our Fault

We take things for granted

using everything to our own personal advantage

we take and expect no effect

we leave our home instead of love, and do nothing to protect

a fight should be fought

the sea creatures are distraught

their home is damaged and they did nothing wrong

it's our fault, as it has been all along

I believe in us if we try to try

maybe we could stop the crumbling of earth

prevent a planet where trash is a frequent as dirt

and if we don't, the earth will die

so maybe try reusable bags, and stop using straws

you can do whatever you please

as long as it keeps your heart at ease

to recycling there are no laws
