"We're heading off now!" Jason called out as he and Max bolted out of the house.

"Have fun! And don't get lost on your way!" Jason's mother replied from the kitchen.

The two hyperactive boys bolted down the street, joking and laughing around as they ran. They came to a screeching halt as they found the newest arcade. It's bright lights blinded those who stared to long, leaving a big impression on the street. They entered in haste, running up to the first machine they saw. A racing game! The young duo jumped on as they inserted their coins, staring up the game with huge smiles spread across their faces.

Fear etched into them, freezing them where they were as their blood ran cold. Sweat dripped down their forehead as they stared wide-eyed at the silver gun pointed between their eyes. Their breathing quickened, coming out in hoarse gasps as they struggled to move their frozen legs. The person who tightly gripped the gun slowly smirked, eyes glistening red in the moonlight. This was the last chance they'd get to escape the predicament in which they stood. Urging their legs to move, they took a step back.

The duo raced through to the finish, cheering as they crossed the line. They jumped off, racing to the next game over. Street Fighter! They sat down and picked their fighters.

"You're going down." Max said with a challenging smirk.

"Like hell." Jason replied as the game started.

Blood stained the ground as it pooled out of the body. The witnesses stood frozen where they were as the murderer inched closer to them, blood staining the knife he wielded. Each step brought him closer and closer, feet crunching the leaves that sprawled over the ground. The killer wore large, smug smirk as he held up his knife, licking the blood off.

"Who's next?" He laughed, sending shivered down the frozen crowds spines.

He inched closer and closer till he was standing in front of a pedestrian. He stared down into their fear stricken eyes, smirk growing larger by the second.

"Say goodnight."

He slashed down, a blood-wrenching scream filled the still night air. The limp body fell to the cold ground, lifeless eyes staring into nothingness as they fell. The murderer let out a loud, heartily cackle as the crowd rushed away, screaming their lungs out as they ran for their lives.

"Noo!"Jason cried out as Max dealt the finishing blow.

'Ha! You couldn't beat me in a million years, yet alone now! Haha!" Max laughed as they left the game.

"I was so close!' Jason whined. "Wait. What's that game?"

Their eyes trailed across the arcade before landing on a bright machine. They bolted over there, halting as they stared up at the machine. It's glowing lights shone bright as music echoed from it.

"DDR!" They cheered, hopping on as they inserted a coin each, selecting a song to play.

The murders come together, knife and gun stained with blood as large smirks plastered across their faces. The two joined together, merging as one as their laugher filled the still air. Two became one, stomping down on the cold hard ground. They licked their lips, gun pointed to the sky as their knife slashed down.
*BANG!

"We're having a party tonight!"

"Woooo! That was a blast!" The two boys cheered as they jumped off the machine.

Jason checked the time, seeing it was 6pm. They decided it was time to finally head back home. They were starving, ready to eat Jason's mother's food. They stepped out of the bright arcade, steadily walking down the streets. That's when they heard it. A gun shot.

"We're having a party tonight!"

The boys turned their heads swiftly, watching as hoard's of pedestrians ran for their lives, screaming as they did. Jason took a step back, tugging at Max's sleeve to follow suit. The street cleared out, not a single person to be spotted. They glanced at each other, breathing out sighs of relief as they turned back round, only to meet a two sliver weapons pointed to their heads.

"My, my. What do we have here? Are you two trying to leave the party so soon?" A rusty voice chuckled.

The two froze, chills crawling up their spines as the voices owner came into view. Two red eyes pierced through theirs, mouth formed into a smirk as their jet black hair draped down.

"The party's just begun. You wouldn't want to disappoint me now, would you?" His smirk grew larger by the second.

The boys gulped down lumps in their throats as they forced their legs to move. Taking a step back, Max gripped onto a taser he hid in his pocket. He glanced at Jason, giving a quick nod as his gaze travelled back to the bulky man. Urging his arm to move, he slowly took the taser out, turning it on as he tilted it towards the man. Red eyes shot down before a bullet was shot.

"MAX!' Jason cried, watching as his friend stumbled to the ground, clutching his left arm as the taser dropped to the ground.

Max grabbed the taser, throwing it to Jason as he rolled to the side, dodging another bullet. Jason caught the taser, bending backwards as the knife swung round, grazing across his cheek. He flipped over, clutching the taser as he leaped forward, aiming for the man's chest. He jumped to the side, taking his gun and firing, hitting Jason's right leg. He fell to the earth, blood pooling out of the fresh wound as he tossed the taser to Max who jumped up behind the murderer. He grabbed the taser from the air and stuck it into the man before he had a chance to react. He fell to the ground with a thud.

"You damn kids. You'll pay for this!" He yelled, urging his muscles to move, but to no avail.

Jason took out his phone as he stood up, dialling 000.

"Max. Keep him down and disarm him. Check him over. We don't know what this man has." Jason ordered as the other line picked up.

Max nodded in response, kneeling down as he took the weapons away, checking the man over. He threw the guns and knives away as he stood up straight, leaning up against a building's wall. They stayed like that a few more minutes till two police cars skidded over, coming to screeching halts as policemen jumped out, guns raised. They cuffed the murderer, taking him back to the car.

"Thanks kids. This man's been on the run for a while now. You did a reckless thing, but, you stopped him. Thank you," An officer said, patting the kids on the heads. "I'll get you cleaned up. Do you want a ride home?"

The two looked at each other than back at the officer with a nod. The officer took them back to his car and treated their wounds.

"That was terrifying. And it hurt like hell." Jason complained, tilting his head up with a sigh.

"You can say that again. How about we treat ourselves to your mum's famous cooking when we get back?" Max said.

"Hell yeah!"

GAME END

"Oh wow! That was the best game yet!"

"That was awesome!"

"Hey! If you're done over there, there's another game over here."

"Alright!"
