Chapter 6

Hailey's P.O.V

Flashback to last chapter

After Colby laid me down on the bed I couldn't fall asleep, all I could do was think of how I was a monster, all the people I killed before I left Holton, even still, I've killed harmless animals just for blood so I can live and I hate it. Maybe if I leave I won't have to deal with this pain anymore. 

I lay in bed thinking on how life would be better for everyone if I just fade away, never come back. As i lay in bed i see a little bit of sun come through the cure-tans, at the same time i hear the water stop running in the bathroom, now is my chance. i jump out of bed and rush to the door then i hear a voice from behind me, 

"Hailey what are you doing?"

  I could hear the worry in his voice but just simply say,

"Something I should have done a long time ago."

I grab the door knob and fling the door open and run outside, as soon as my skin hit the sun I started to burn it hurt like hell but it felt good in a way I let out a half scream half grunt, then I feel a pair of arms around me and then it the burning stops I open my eyes to see Colby holding me in his arms.

 I look up and instantly regret it, it looked like he was about to cry. I look away and break from his grip but I was really weak and just about fell but Colby caught me just in time. He lifted me bridal style and carried me to the bed not breaking eye contact and I doing the same, he sets me down on the bed and I was waiting for the question,

"What were you thinking?"

"Colby trust me, if you knew half the things I've done you would have let me burn."

"What are you talking about?"

"I've Killed people Colby, when i first turned into a vampire, that's what I did, that's why i left Holton, he made me kill nice people for blood. i couldn't take it anymore so i ran, changed my name and everything."

"Hailey, I'm sorry you had to do that, I will never let Holton do that to you ever again, I promise. I'm going to go and fill the car with gas and get some food, after that we can figure out how you are going to eat okay."

"Okay just please hurry."

"I'll be as fast as I can." 

30 minutes later 

" I'm back, I have water for you if you want it. Now how are you going to eat?" 

We think for what feels like forever until Colby says, 

" Have some of my blood."

"Are you crazy I can't do that!"

"Colby no I can't, I know you let me do that once but not again, the first time I almost lost control, what if I do this time and kill you, I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

"Hailey please you need food okay, I trust you, I'll be fine."
