The Secret

Chapter 8

Hailey's P.O.V 

As the drive went on, I feel my eyes start to get heavy, I didn't get much sleep last night so i lay my head against the window and tell Colby, 

"Wake me up if you start to get so i can drive for a little okay."

"Okay."

As I drift off to sleep I start to think about Holton, why i don't know. 

Flash back to when she was working for Holton 

"Hailey get down here please." 

I hear Holton calling for me in his sweet voice I could listen to him talk all day, but unfortunately I can't, I have a job to do for him. I was the one to bring the food to him and he only trusted me to do this, i guess you could say I was his right hand man or woman I should say. You are probably wondering what kind of food I'm talking about, well Holton is a vampire and so am I he was the one who turned me. Before I go down stairs I put on a little black lace dress with black boots that come up just over my knees. 

"You called for me."

"Yes, i need you to go get some food for me and some guests if you could please and bring one extra for yourself, and when you get back please join me with my guests but at my side."

"Yes sir anything you wish."

"Please call me Holton."

"Okay, about how many guests will there be."

"Three plus yourself."

"I will be back in a flash Holton."

"I know you will."

*Time skip* 

After the meeting everyone left it was just me and Holton, he looked at me in the eyes and held my hand in his and said, 

"Follow me to the basement."

Without giving me time to answer we started walking towards the basement door he took a key from his pocket and opened it and we made our way to the bottom of the stairs, there was no light until he flicked what sounded like a light switch, it my eyes a couple seconds to adjust and when they did I stared in horror. 

"Who are these women?"

"They are your gifts for doing such a good job and for being the best help i could ask for, now go and enjoy."

I took a step towards one who look terrified but I used my power to control her mind to make her not scared and make it easier on me, I mover her head exposing her neck, I could hear her heart beat and I could smell the blood, my fangs became visible and next thing I knew I was feeding, it tasted so good I couldn't stop then I did the same thing with the other two women, when I was done it took me a couple of seconds to realize what I did. I just killed three women  who probable had children and husbands, why am I thinking about these things. This has never happened to me before, so why now. 

I turn and run upstairs to my room and slam the door shut and lock it, I fall to the floor and feel tears begin to fall down my cheeks, I'm a monster, why did I do that, I need to leave. I get up and whip my tears and start to pack a bag. I have no idea where I'm going to go but I just can't stay here anymore. As I almost finish packing my bag I hear a knock at my door, oh no It's probably Holton I rush to the door cause he has a key for every room in his house, but before I could reach the door, he had it open, oh shit this won't end well

"Hailey what happened is everything okay...what are you doing."

He started to raise his voice, oh no what have I done,

"I asked you a question, what are you doing."

His voice getting louder and is getting closer to me, 

"I was going to do some laundry and I realized I don't have a basket to put my stuff in so I'm using this suit case."

"Bull shit I know you're lying i can hear your heart racing, tell me the truth now, or else."

I didn't say anything I just stood there, frozen, not knowing what to do. But that it self was a mistake, Holton took off his belt and started walking towards me, oh no, what have I done, he has never done this to me before let alone get this made. 

"Get on the bed and lay on you stomach now."

I do as he says, I feel him climb next to me and then out of no where sheer pain on my back. I let out a scream, he does this a few more times and then leaves. 

All I can do is cry at this point, even crying hurts. 

Just then i fell a hand on my arm shaking me, I damn near jump out of my skin, until i hear a voice, 

"Hailey are you okay."
