After putting the food away in the kitchen and placing the pizza in the oven to cook I decided to take a shower. Steven was no where in sight, he was probably out running with Tucker. Zach and Steven have always gone on runs with Tucker since middle school so it didn't seem odd to me when I couldn't find either Steven or Tucker in the house.

I grabbed my towel and headed for the bathroom, put on my shower playlist and let the hot water hit my back.

I stood there for what seemed like forever. The water running down my back relaxing all the muscles in my body. Showers were my favorite thing in the world besides sleep. The way that you can take time to be alone and be at peace. It felt like I had been there forever, I checked my fitbit to see what time it was and quickly realizing that the pizza had been in the oven for far too long. I quickly grabbed my towel wrapped it around myself and ran for the kitchen. I opened up the oven and cloud of smoke came out and when it finally dispersed the burnt pizza sat in the middle of the grill, black as coal. I was startled by Tucker licking my legs, I petted him and tried to get him to stop and then I heard someone clear their throat behind me.

You have got to be kidding me!!!!
I internally yelled at myself.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you with dinner" I heard Steven say behind me.

I ignored him and took the pizza out, threw it in the trash can and proceeded to try and clean the mess that was made in the kitchen.

"Earth to Ronnie" he said again.

Maybe if you ignore him long enough he'll go away and not talk to you for the rest of the weekend.

I walked back up stairs to finish taking my shower, as I reached the top step I heard running behind me. I turned right as Steven ran past me and into the restroom.

"WHAT THE HELL STEVEN?!?! I NEED TO FINISH MY SHOWER!!!" I yelled while pounding on the door.

"You snooze you lose, babe"
I could hear the smirk in his voice.

I cannot deal with this for a whole weekend, "You're unbelievable. I'm getting my stuff and heading to Mia's to spend the night," I said while heading to my room.

The door unlocked behind me and a pair of hands grabbed my arm and pulled me into the bathroom.

Steven was standing close enough for me to see his sweat drops and gold specks in his eyes. They were intense and furrowed.

"Your parents and Zach expect me to watch over you this weekend, meaning you have to stay here and do what I say" He was breathing heavy. Obviously altered by my decision to stay at Mia's.

I raised an eyebrow at him, "Excuse me? You don't tell me what to do Richardson. That's the most condensing thing I've heard anyone say. You and I both know that you'd rather be hanging out with your buddies and I'd rather be alone watching tv with Tucker. So why don't we do that? Why can't we just stay out of each other's way?"

Steven looked hurt once he heard my words. But he quickly hid it with a smirk, "Ronnie, you know that's not true. I intend to spend every second of this weekend with you." He got closer to me. My back hit the wall, I was cornered.

I swallowed and waited for whatever was to come from this to happen. I shut my eyes, my breath quickened, my heartbeat was at my throat beating faster than ever. I had goosebumps all over my body. It seemed as if seconds went by yet he hadn't kissed me or touched me. I opened my eyes and Steven was gone. His words ringing in my ears:

I intend to spend every second if this weekend with you.

I locked the door to the bathroom and stepped back into the shower. This time making sure to finish taking it. I couldn't keep my mind from wondering why I had seen a hint of hurt in Steven's eyes when I mentioned us staying out of each other's ways. Then again, he was a douche back with his remark about spending every second of the weekend with me. I just needed to make sure to have as little interaction with Steven as possible.
