Heartbroken

Next day

Woong woke up early that morning to make lunch for Wonwoo. She made Kimchi fried rice for lunch as she heard from someone that it's his favorite, she packed 2 lunchboxes and went to college.

At college

She checked the time and she still had some minutes before lecture so she went to rooftop and felt the breeze.
Suddenly someone came up. She turned around just to see Wonwoo,
"Oh Wonwoo-shi, you are here" She said while taking her bag to leave,
"I came here to read some books, did you bring lunch for me??" He asked while sitting beside her.
"Yes, I brought it but are you okay with kimchi fried rice??" She asked,
"Of course, it's my favorite" he said with a smile.

that smile....I just feel like I'm the happiest person on earth that I saw him smiling....

Woong thought."Come here for lunch break,we will have lunch together" He said while opening his book,
"Alright, I think I have to go" Woong said and went to her class.

In class

She got to her place and Minghao came to her. Minghao was her best friend, they were best friends from childhood. He was Chinese but he moved there when he was small. They became friends because of the same school. She taught him korean and he was teaching her Chinese.

"I wanted to talk with you" he said as he sat beside her, she turned towards him and said, "cut it out, you always want to talk with me" he shook his head and said, "no, this is important" he sounded serious.

"Ok what's it??" Woong asked,
"One of my friends likes you and wants to meet you" he said.
"But you know I like 'Beanie'" Woong said, 'beanie' was a code word for Wonwoo because many people around them knew him.
"Yeah I know but you ain't making any move other than just looking at him, I know what happened yesterday but then too, do you think he'll date you?? Just give my friend a chance" he said seriously.

He's right, Wonwoo is really popular, why will he date someone like me?

Woong thought. "I'll think about it. I'll tell you after lunch" Woong replied smiling. "Alright but don't waste this chance" he said and went to his seat.

Lunchtime

She quickly went upstairs with lunchboxes in her hand. She went to Wonwoo and saw him kissing a girl, her heart sank there itself, she tried to figure out who the girl was. They stopped kissing, the girl took her bag and said, "I should get going now" The girl turned towards Woong.

She..his ex...did they both patch up again?? I shouldn't have seen this...

The girl was Wonwoo's ex-girlfriend. They had broken up just the day when Woong and Wonwoo had an interaction on the road. "Hey, Woong, come" Wonwoo said snapping Woong back to reality from her thoughts. She went to him, gave him his lunchbox and said, "I'll have my lunch at canteen, you can continue"
"No, stay with me" he said while gripping her hand, she just slipped her hand from his grip, took her lunchbox and started eating quitely. "I guess you are hungry, I'm hungry too" he said and started eating.

How can he act like nothing happened??Argh, this is frustrating ...

Woong ate her lunch quickly and got up,
"I'm done, I have to go to library, enjoy your lunch" she said,
"Alright but I'll walk you home today as you made me happy" he said,
"No it's alright" She tried to deny his offer, "I'll not ask you for new dish, I just want to walk you" he said as he finished his lunchbox,
"No, actually my friend is going to take me home" Woong lied,
"Alright, thanks for the meal though" he said, she just nodded and went to class...

In class

Woong was sitting at her place trying to think about what she should answer Minghao.

Minghao is right I think I should think of other guys as well. Does Wonwoo even deserve me rejecting others when he's kissing his ex? I should just go on with this date.

"How was lunch with Mr. Beanie??" Minghao came and sat beside her,
"Nothing Mr. Beanie was kissing his ex when I got there" Woong replied disheartened, Minghao banged his fist on the desk 'causing everyone's attention towards them. "till when are you going to see this??? Woo, you are really a nice girl, why are you still waiting for him??? Just move on!!" he yelled.

"Ming, sit down you are causing others to look at us" she said trying to calm him down. He then drank water and said, "Woo, it's just that I can't see you in pain, my heart aches, please can you listen to me once??"  "Ming I was going to say that only, I am ready to meet your friend" she said, "What?? Really?? That's great!! I'll tell him" he said excitedly and went outside.

After sometime he came again and said, "be ready 'till 7 pm, he'll pick you up, also he told you to wear something nice as he will be taking you somewhere"
"Alright but his name???" Woong asked,
"That I can't tell you, because he told me not to reveal his identity" he said and went to his seat.

Ok so Minghao just set my blind date and I even accepted it! great! just great! but what would I do?? After all, I was heartbroken......
