Chapter 14

30 minutes earlier

Athenes sighed as she threw her head back and threw a small knife at the wall just as Arrow walked inside. He jumped back and put his hand on his chest.

"Oh Ze- what the hell Athenes?" Athenes glared ar him, "Make noise when you are about to enter." He walked over to her and handed her a sandwich, "You should be able to hear me with your enhance senses or at least sense me! We're siblings for the God's sake!" Athenes bit into her sandwich, "You shouldn't have said that."

A rumble of thunder came from outside and Arrow went on his knees immediately, "I'm sorry." A blast of lightning hit the pond outside and he sighed in relief. The gods were just arguing again.

He stood up and dusted off his clothes and pointed at her, "You're lucky. If I had gotten struck mom would be killed you from Azteca." She rolled her eyes and walked over to the bed to check up on Raven as she ate.

She pushed her hair back softly grimacing as she felt her cold skin beneath her fingers. She checked her iv to makes sure it was still dripping and looked at the bag.

"Hey Arrow does this fluid look funny to you?" He stepped closer and squinted, "Looks a little red." Athenes eyes widened and grabbed Raven's arm, "Do you think that's her blood?" She looked closer and tapped the bag.

"Go get the nurse idiot."

He didn't have time to glare at her remark but just dropped his food down and ran out as she repeatedly pushed the distress button.

The sound begun to get louder and louder and she cringed as she placed her hands over her ears as it became a loud screeching noise and she immediately stopped.

"You should leave her to me."

Athenes saw a hooded figure standing in a pool of lava on the floor and she pulled out her bow and arrow. "What are you?"

She pulled off her hood, "Your worst nightmare."

She opened her mouth and screeched loudly as fire spewed out of her mouth. Athenes kicked the bed and ducked behind it. She pulled out a throwing knife and threw it at her foot. Athenes jumped from behind the bed and shot an arrow at her shoulder.

She grasped the arrow and cracked it with her hands as it melted. "You shouldn't have done that."

She whipped out her arms and spiky chains came out.  She grinned under her hood and lit them on fire. She whipped it towards her and the couch cut into two. The lava began to spread further and Athenes hissed as the bottom of her shoe melted. "Crap."

Athenes threw a knife at the figure and it lodged in her shoulder. She sneered at her and threw her hoodie back. Kara kept her eyes closed as she turned her head towards her. The knife began to move in her shoulder then it slowly slid out. Her wound began to heal itself as she cracked her neck.

"I usually don't get angry because of humans, but you, you're different." She whipped her chains, "I'll kill you first."

Athenes grinned, "Luckily I'm not a human right?"

Athenes pressed the back of her neck and a black membrane began to form from the base of her neck and crawled to the sides of her face. It made a transparent helmet over her head before it begun to run all over her body.

She cracked her fingers, "Luckily I'm a Salyve." She jumped off the couch and launched towards Kara who moved to the side. The suit stuck to the wall and  Kara whipped the chains and they turned into knives. "Well this has gotten interesting hasn't it," she threw a knife at her and Athenes just dodged out of the way, "I thought your kind died years ago in that fire."

Athenes made a bow and arrow our of her suit and shot at her, "You thought wrong."

Kara sneered at her before throwing a knife at her. "I really hate Salyves."

"Well you're gonna hate me."

They begun to battle on the walls as the lava on the floor bubbled. Athenes put a black matter dome over Raven to keep her safe from the fight.

Arrow burst in the room and his jaw dropped as the lava slowly flowed into the hallway. He stared at the scene in slight horror and amazement.

"You transformed already?"

Athenes rolled her eyes as she leaned back from the knife to her throat from Kara, "Yes I have stupid."

"But I haven't! And we're twins!"

Athenes slashed at Kara and sighed, "Just because we were born on the same day it doesn't means we're twins. I'm still a year older dummy."

He pouted as he pulled out his bow and arrow and shot at Kara. He jumped on top of a medicine cart and shot at her again.

Kara suddenly looked out the window and groaned in annoyance. She jumped to the middle of the floor and two hell dogs appeared next to her as chains formed on her wrists. "We shall meet again."

In a flash she sank through the floor as the lights flickered and then she was gone.

Arrow dropped his weapon, "What the hell just happened?"

Athenes transformation slowly melted off and she shook her head, "I don't know but as long as Raven is safe it doesn't ma-"

Thesius made a flame shield in front of him and Amber quickly as Athenes' arrow went straight through it and he had to move fast for it to hit the wall.

Athenes dropped her bow and arrows on the floor and rushed forward to Amber and said, "Oh my gosh are you okay?"

Thesius threw up his hands and said, "Wow! No love for the guy who almost got shot in the heart."

Athenes glanced at him quickly, "You're fine."

He glared at her before turning to Arrow who was perched on the ceiling, "What the hell are you doing up there?"

Thesius looked around the room and said, "What happened?"

"That's what I'd like to know."

They all gasped as they saw who was in the doorway.
