Do you ever just get scared?
Scared that you'll fade to nothing,
Without a thought?
Scared that the ones you love,
Don't love you back?
Whispering voices in the back of your thoughts,
Doubt and trust
Courage and fear.
Voices, hiding in the dark.
Luring you deeper into fear.
Your life fading as you retreat
Afraid of and for yourself.
And suddenly you wake up,
With scarcely a thought
Fear is there.
Do you ever just feel scared?
Filled with fear
That ever so slowly
Turns to anger.
