Best Friends? Or More? [ON HOLD]

Part 3 "The Breakfest Place and 20 Questions"

Betty's POV

I woke up the next day and decided to start getting ready for the day. I unplugged my phone to see what time it was. It was around 8 am so I decided to go into the kitchen to get breakfast but then I realized I had no food. So I went back into my room and pulled out some clothes to change into. I put on some black ripped jeans and a white long sleeve shirt that says "bleh" on it. My everyday morning mood lol. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and did some natural makeup and decided to leave my hair down. I put on some black Nike shoes and went to grab my purse. I put my phone and wallet into it and headed out the door.

Jugheads POV

I woke up around 7 and laid in bed watching YouTube and netflix because I was so bored. I had no food so I figured I should get up and get dressed. I was dressed in black jeans and a gray t shirt by 8. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. After, I grabbed my phone and wallet and headed out the door. While I was walking down the stairs I spotted the same girl from yesterday. She stopped on the steps and looked around. She spotted me and smiled. I waved and walked up to her.

"Hey" I said. I didn't know her name so it was a bit weird but oh well.
"Hi" she said back.
'Sorry. Last time I didn't get your name."
"Betty. And yours?"
"Don't laugh. It's jughead"
"Jughead. I like it"
"So where are you headed" I asked as realized I was going to go to breakfast and see if she wanted to come along.
"Breakfast. You?"
"Same! Do you want to come with me?"
"Sure. You are the only one I know here around here." She smiled.

We started walking towards the lobby door to get out of the building. We made some small conversation and it was nice to have someone to talk to, especially when your both new to town and have nowhere to go. When we arrived at the "Breakfast Place" we sat down in a booth in the back and waited for out waitress. We both ordered a glass of water with toast and eggs. We talked about why we moved here and our hopes and dreams about living here. She even told me about how she lived in a foster home but she didn't talk much about her parent which was totally fine because I don't either. Betty was really nice and fun to hang out with. We exchanged numbers and headed separate ways because she needed to go buy food and I was just gonna order some and have it delivered to my apartment because I was too lazy.

It was around 9 pm and I decided it would be nice to text Betty.

Jughead- hey

Betty-hi :)

Jughead- So how was grocery shopping?

Betty- Ugh. It was so boring and weird. I bought a lot of stuff and a lot of junk food and a bunch of people kept looking at me and everything. And I was soooo expensive.

Jughead- Hahahaha. That is why I don't shop in general. I online grocery shop. It is EZ. I'm lazy though sooooo. Lol

Betty- lol. Anyway that Breakfast Place was fun. We should go again sometime

(I was surprised she wanted to hang out again. I was expecting her to pretend I didn't exist for the rest of the time.)

Jughead- yes. Of course.

Betty- cooooool

Jughead- I can't sleep

Betty- Same

Jughead- how about we play 20 questions. Time will fly and then we should be able to go to sleep. We are both probably too lazy to get up so let's just do it over text.

Betty- lol. okay. You first?

Jughead- sure. what is your favorite movie?

Betty - ummmm. Rebel Without A Cause. What is your favorite food?

Jughead- I love that movie and my favorite food is probably burgers. How about you. What is your favorite food?

Betty- probably pizza and hamburgers.

Jughead- you are my type of friend Betty hahahah

Betty- ikr.

We just kept asking each other basic and simple questions. I found out that she once fell in gym and broke her arm. I told her about when almost got sent to jail because of playing basketball in a "private" area but i ended up escaping that situation. She's actually really nice and it's good to have a friend here in New York that lives right across from you.

Betty's POV

Today was interesting but also very fun. I went to Breakfast with Jughead and then went grocery shopping and came back and chilled. Jughead then texted me and we started playing 20 questions. It was really fun and he is super nice. I'm glad to call him my friend and he seems to be the only real friend I have had. We both are lazy and love the same food, who would be a better Best Friend?........ exactly.
