Best Friends? Or More? [ON HOLD]

Part 4 "The Movies"

Betty's POV

Me and Jughead have been hanging out ever since that day when we went to breakfast together. We instantly became friends. When we first came here obviously neither of us had any friends. So it was nice to make a friend that actually cares about you. He is just really nice and sweet. When we first started to hang out we didn't act as we do now. We are best friends now. Even though I may be 19, almost twenty, I still can have a best friend.

Anyway, today we are going to the movies and seeing a scary movie. I can't remember the name of it but Jughead said it was pretty scary and I was super excited but at least we would be going together cause I would handle it alone.

It was 9 in the morning and we were going to the movies at 2 pm because the movie didn't start till 2:30. I just decided to finally get up and shower. I walked to my bathroom and decided to play some music because I was actually in a great mood. I played some music and turned the shower on. While I was waiting for the shower to heat up, I went back to my closet and picked out some blue ripped jeans and a off the shoulder white top. I set the clothes on my bed and went back to the shower. I finally hopped in the shower. I washed my hair with my favorite shampoo and conditioner that smelled like vanilla and washed my body with my favorite strawberry body wash. After about 15 minutes of singing in the shower, I got out. I put my hair up in a towel and brushed my teeth. When I was done, I went to my room and changed my clothes. When I changed I took my hair and just let it down to hair dry and I figured I'll do something with it before I leave to meet Jughead. I went to the kitchen and I finally had a lot of food unlike when I first got here. I got out some cereal and milk along with a bowl. I poured some of the cereal in the bowl and poured the milk. I put the milk and box of cereal away a and grabbed my bowl and sat at my island connected to the counter in the kitchen. I sat down and started eating and was just scrolling through Instagram to pass time.

After about an hour of just sitting there and watching YouTube and scrolling through Instagram, I decided it was time to do my hair and my makeup because my hair looked like a mess and I just wanted to do my makeup for today. I got up and put my dishes in the sink and walked to my bedroom. I decided to just straighten my hair because it was the easiest and fast thing I could do. I plugged in my straightener and started on my makeup. I did a simple look, nothing to dramatic. Once I was done my makeup, I started straightening my hair which didn't take long because my hair was already somewhat straight.

After I was done getting ready it was only 1 pm and I would be meeting Jughead around 2 at the mall because the movies is right next to the mall and we figured we could walk around before the movie started. I decided to start cleaning up my mess of a room. In the middle of cleaning my room, my phone started to ring notifying me I was getting a FaceTime call. I went up to my phone and it was Jughead calling. I smiled and picked it up sliding the answer button.

"Hi Jug" I said smiling placing my phone on top of my dresser and standing it a giant my tv.
"Hello betts. What are you doing?" He says smiling.
"Cleaning my room because I'm a child and haven't cleaned my room in about 2 weeks." I laughed
"Wooooow. Even I try to clean my room every week" He says pretending to be shocked.
"Wow, So not true. I've been to your apartment many of times and it's always a mess, at least I'm trying to make my apartment look nice." I say.
"Whatever. I just wanted to call and make sure you remember to meet me at the mall at 2." He says.
"Yes I remembered. Where are you now?" I asked.
"I just got out of the gas station and I'm headed to the mall right now." He says starting to buckle his seat belt.
"Okay. I'm just gonna grab my charger and purse and I'll meet you there somehow." I say. I didn't have a car because I left my motorcycle in Riverdale and took a bus here. Jughead drove here from whenever he lived so he was lucky.
"I can pick you up if you want" he says.
"No, it's okay I'll call an Uber or something." I say.
"Okay. Just be safe and text me if anything goes wrong." He says smiling.
"Okay. Well I'm gonna go so I don't keep you waiting at the mall. See you soon" I say giggling.
"Okay. I'll see you soon" He says.
"Bye juggie" i say smiling.
"Bye betts!" He says laughing.

I hung up and took my phone and charger and put it in my purse, I grabbed some white converse and and my Nike jacket. I headed out the door and sat in the lobby, calling an Uber.

About 5 minutes later, an Uber arrived and I got in. I told him to take me to the mall and we started heading there. After about another 5 minutes we finally arrived and it was 2 pm. On time. I got out of the Uber and payed the guy. I walked into the mall and saw Jughead sitting at the food court. He didn't notice me, so I walked up behind him and put my hand over his eyes and said,
"Guess who" I say still covering his eyes,
"Ummmmm lemme guess. Betty" He says laughing and pulling my hands of his face.
"Correct" I said sitting in front of him.
"So, what do you want to do to wait because I don't really care as long as I get popcorn at the movies" He says smiling.
"We could just walk around." I say.
"Yea. Okay let's go." He says, both of us standing up and smiling. 

We started walking around just talking about random things. It was around 2:15 and we decided it was a good time to start heading to the movies which was just next door to the mall. He exited the mall and just walked to the movie theater since it was so close. We entered and bought our tickets. We also bought a large popcorn, some candy and one large coke because we wouldn't finish a large one by ourself and it was cheaper. It was almost time for the ,okie to start and we entered and took seats up in the very top back. Nobody else sat up at the back beside a couple and like three middle schoolers. After about 5 minutes of previews, the movie finally started. By the time the movie started, Jughead had ate a lot of popcorn.

"Damn Jughead." I whispered pointing to the popcorn.
"Oops" he whispered back smiling.

I still didn't understand why we had to see a scary movie but whatever. It didn't seem too scary from the beginning but booooy was I wrong. The worst part came on and I was about to scream and I didn't want to embarrass myself or Jughead so I leaned into Jughead and grabbed his arm putting it in front of me. He looked at me and laughed.

"Hey. This is fucking scary." I say
"It's not that scary" He laughs. 
"Ummmm Yes it is." I say

He tried to remove his arm to get more popcorn but I didn't let go. I was way to fucking scared and I was gonna let go anytime soon. The movie was finally over after about an hour and a half. We watched the credits and Jughead stood up. I was cleaning up the trash and put it in the empty popcorn bucket.

"Betty what are you doing?" He asked smiling.
"Cleaning up your mess." I said.
"Come on."

He grabbed the bucket from my hand and took my hand. We left the theater and back to where you buy food and get tickets. I needed to use the bathroom but wasn't going in there especially by myself.

"Let's go" He said.
"Okay mr. not scared of anything." I laughed.

He was ahead of me, so I ran and jumped up on his back. I laughed and he was laughing to because he almost dropped me from the surprised action. He carried me all the way back to the car and we joked the whole time. We finally got to his car and I was excited to go home and do something but only if jug came home with me.

"You know, I'm not staying by myself in my apartment tonight" I laughed.
"Whatever. You'll forget about the movie in like an hour or two." He said as we both got into the car. We drove off and head towards the apartment building.
