Grace's POV
Mason starts singing where I left off. His voice is.. amazing. I didn't know he liked that type if music. It makes me like him.. more. Well he doesn't like you- I mean, why would he? You're not pretty and certainly not popular. That's when I realized that he had stopped singing.. and that I had my mouth wide open in disbelief. He was wearing a smile. Why are you such a dork?! I clear my throat. "I didn't know you liked that kind of music?" It comes out like a question.
"Neither did I. I mean, about you!" I giggle a little. He blushes. Is he nervous? Why? It's not like he.. likes you. Does he? Say something! I open my mouth to speak. But I don't know what to say. I close it and we just stare at each other. sharing the same smile.

We walk out of the classroom. We walk out when a girl screams, "WAIT!" We stop. She smiles. The girl has blonde hair and vibrant, blue eyes. {A/N It's Alison!} "We are having a back to school dance. Are you interested?" Mason keeps quiet and looks at me like he depends on me to answer.
"Um.. I don't know." Is all I can make out.
"Well take a flyer anyways, if you decide to come!" she says as she hands us both a flyer. And with that she walks away. I look at Mason and see him smirking as he reads the flyer.
"We should go." He says, looking up from the blue paper. Is he asking me to the dance. No! He wouldn't! Right?
"I-I don't know. I usu-ally don't go." I stammer.
"Well this time, you are!" He chuckles a little. I give him an uncertain look. "Come on! What do you have to loose?" He smiles warmly. I give in.
"Alright." I say reluctantly. He smiles bigger.
"Great I'll pick you up tonight at 7!"
"Wait! It's tonight?!" I'm definitely not ready for a dance! He laughs.
"Yes! Be ready Gracie!" He walks off to the parking lot. What-am-I-going-TO DO?!?!
