~ 11 ~

He's the captain of the Missing persons squad. Nobody is going to believe me when I tell them I was raped by a captain of a police force.

"So what do we do now captain?" Fin asks Cragen.

Captain Cragen looks at me. "This is going to be a tough one, so we better all be ready." I know that he's talking to me.

I nod. "I'm ready Captain."

"Ready!" The rest of the squad says and Elliot squeezes my hand to encourage me.

"So what's the plan captain?" Munch asks.

"We need to collect as much evidence as we can so every story he will tell doesn't make sense according to the evidence." Cragen says.

But then an idea pops up in my head. I know it'll be dangerous but I think it will work.

"I have another idea. It might sound ridiculous but I think it will work. What if we make him believe I will be here all alone tonight. Chances are he will come to me. If we make sure we have voice recorders and you guys are somewhere near, we might have the perfect chance to catch him."

Everyone looks at me as if I've gone crazy.

"That's too dangerous." Captain Cragen says.

"I don't want anything to happen to you Liv." Elliot says. I see the concern in his eyes.

Then Fin speaks up. "I agree. I think it is dangerous. But I also think it might be our best chance and maybe even our only chance to catch this guy."

Cragen looks at me. "Do you think you could handle it Liv?"

"Yeah I think this is our best shot. It'll be hard but I have a good support system." I look at Elliot and I see he's not happy about this but we'll talk later.

"Okay, we'll do this." Cragen says. I feel the nerves immediately. "We have to make a plan so we will be prepared for everything."

"I'm not doing this." Elliot says and he walks away. I want to follow him but I need to focus on the plan otherwise I won't be ready for tonight.

Cragen looks at me as if he's waiting for my permission to carry on. I nod.

"Okay this is what I've come up with so far. Fin can go down to missing persons to supposedly get some information for a case and then he can ask the captain if he heard what happened to Olivia. If he says he doesn't you tell him Fin. And then you'll tell him how stupid you think it is Olivia will be all alone in the squadroom tonight." Cragen tells Fin.

Fin nods "I can do that."

"Olivia, you'll just pretend you're working on a case. I'll make sure a whole team will be hidden in and around the squadroom to arrest him when we have enough evidence." Cragen tells me.

"Munch will you please make sure hidden cameras and voice recorders will be placed all over the squadroom?" Cragen asks Munch and he nods.

Elliot p.o.v.

I walk out of the squadroom and go into the locker room. I sit down on one of the beds. Before I know it the tears are flowing down my face and I'm full on sobbing.

How could Liv do this to herself, to me. She's setting herself up to be hurt again. I can't stand by and see her get hurt. It is just now that I realize what an impact this whole ordeal has had on me. I always had the feeling I needed to look out for Liv and take care of her. I feel like I have failed. I couldn't keep her safe. I wasn't there for her the moment she most needed me. How can I deal with this.

I love her so much.

Olivia p.o.v.

While everyone goes to work I go looking for Elliot. I find him in the locker room. He is sitting on one of the beds with his head in his hands. When he hears me enter the room he looks up. I can see he has been crying.

"Elliot." I want to say more but I cant think of anything. In this whole thing, this whole process, I never even thought about how Elliot would feel. How selfish of me. I can see he's struggling.

I sit down next to him. I'm afraid what will happen if I touch him so I choose not to.

"I can't do this Olivia. I can't see you get hurt." He says.

"I'm not going to get hurt Elliot. A whole team is going to be there." I pause a little. "And I'm really hoping that you'll be there too." I look him in the eyes. "But I understand if you can't or won't."

"I can't be there Liv. I'll want to get to you before the bastard even gets in the squadroom. But I'll be there when it's done. I'll be there when you need me." In his eyes I see sadness but also determination and I know that this moment is the real change in our partnership.

I hug him and whisper in his ear. "I love you Elliot." "I love you too Liv. I always will."

"I'll see you tonight El. Go home to your kids. They must be scared."

"Yeah, I will. See you tonight Liv."

And with a last meaningful look he leaves to go home and I go back to the squadroom. It's already getting dark outside so it's almost showtime.

Everyone in the squadroom is either getting ready to leave or to hide. The phone on my desk rings and I answer it. It's Melinda.

"Liv, I found DNA on the clothes you brought me this morning." I realize we haven't even told our suspicions to Mel."

"And? Who's DNA is it?" I ask.

"You might want to come down." Melinda says.

"It's okay Mel. Just tell me."

"I found three types of DNA on your clothes Liv. Yours, Elliot's and the DNA of who I believe is your rapist."

"Tell me Mel. Who is it?"

"Jack Thomas Morrisson, Captain of the missing persons squad."

I feel relieved. We have the right person and we have DNA. Now we just need to get a confession and hopefully that'll come in about an hour.

"Thank you Melinda. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Before she can say anything I already hang up the phone. I go to Cragen's office immediately. I walk in without knocking on the door. He looks up from his papers.

"Melinda found his DNA on my clothing." I tell him. He smiles instantly.

"That's good news Liv. Now we just need to get him to confess to it tonight. Are you ready for it?" He asks me.

I suddenly feel really empowered. "Yes, I'm ready. Let him come to me."

We walk out of Cragen's office and he goes to hide with the others.

I sit down at my desk.
