Andrew was crouching behind his chair as if to pick up a pen. All the people who had gathered for the reading were slowly moving out, grumbling under their breath.Sandrine was standing as if to move out as well.
When Andrew caught her eye, she gave him a short nod.
After this, the situation could only be described as hell broken loose.
Andrew shrieked loudly and fell to the ground, clutching his stomach. Several things happened. Everyone started panicking. A few security guards rushed over to help him. A woman dressed in a floor-length black dress started hyperventilating and screamed about her horoscope warning her to stay home. A man started muttering about the decline of the youth. Another man ran around shouting for a doctor. The announcer tried to calmly tell everyone to not panic but to no avail.
Amidst all this confusion, Sandrine slipped out of the back door of the hall, while simultaneously managing to wink at Andrew, who acknowledged this, before 'fainting.'
Sandrine chuckled softly at her friend's antics once outside.
Now, she just had to find Evangeline Waters and get her autograph, after telling her what a big fan she was.
As simple as this sounded in theory, Sandrine knew that she had to be very careful so as to avoid being caught by security.
She quietly went up a flight of stairs, presumably leading to a dressing room.
The hair on the back of her neck stood up. She swiftly turned around, only to catch a glimpse of red before her world went black.
