Chapter 2

Emma's POV

After the call I decided to just listen to some music while I waited. As I was listening I started thinking about the conversation that I had with Lauren. Everything she said was right. I shouldn't still be hung up over my heartbreaks that I had 5 years ago. I actually not hung up on them, the depression the brokenness that I felt afterwards was gone a long time ago. I was just so use to haveing someone new every week that I enjoyed it. I liked that it was always different, it excited me. I knew that I was breaking hearts but I didn't really care because I was still in the mindset that I need revenge. Now that I really think about it I do need to try and control myself. Victoria is a nice person. She's really caring too. Like she could sense when I'm not feeling well and give me some space. She really pretty too, maybe even beautiful. Maybe I should try to ACTUALLY be with her and stop using her. Ugh just saying that makes me feel horrible now. All of a sudden I hear my phone ring. OH SHIT i got my stuff and ran to the door. Jackson just kept on honking the horn even though he clearly saw me. I've told him before to stop doing that when ever he picks me up because my neighbors get mad at me.
"Stop honking the horn asshole!" I yelled as I was approaching his car. "I told you to be out before I got here, princess." He said that with a smug smile which irritated me. "You really want me to get kicked out?" "Ummm...maybe." he just said that with a smile to irritate me even more." You know you can always come and live with me, there's plenty of space on my bed." *wink* "Boy, we're just friends and you have a girlfriend that I'm really good from with." I rolled my eyes at him. "Ouch, I thought we were best friends." "Well if you're going to say stuff like that we won't be anymore." He started driving while saying "Em it's just a joke. Plus you're the one that always be saying those types of jokes anyways." I just sided eyed him when he said that. "Well I dont like them anymore." His face went from normal straight face to a completely shocked face it was hilarious. "You're kidding right?" He asked "Shut up and just drive to the mall, I want to buy some cute clothes." He didn't say a word after that and we headed to the mall.
At the mall

We've been at the mall for about an hour now. I had fun I bought myself some cute stuff and I also bought Lauren something too and I may or may not have bought Victoria something. So that means Jackson has a lot of bags to hold. That's one of the many reasons I always ask Jackson if he wants to go to the mall. Yeah he's fun and makes me laugh at times but he's really good at carrying my stuff. "Em why are you smiling at your phone for?" "Oh my gosh you wont believe what I just did." I told him still smiling excitedly "What did ytou do. Please say it's not something illegal." He asked semi worried "First off it's not illegal and secondly I may or may not have asked Victoria on a date date." I told him kinda shyly. "Emma" I just looked up at him smiling shyly. "You're for real?" "Yup, here look" I showed him the messages on my phone.

"Wow Em I'm proud of you. But are you really serious about this?" "Yeah I think it's about time you know." "Girl it really was about time ITS BEEN 5 YEARS." "Yeab yeah I know don't need to remind me. But look I just did my first step." "I'm proud Emma I hope Victoria is the one that makes you REALLY happy again. I miss that REALLY happy smile you used to have." "Yeah me too." I told him with a small smile. "Now can you drop me off now so I can give Lauren her gift and so I can mentally prepare myself for tonight and so I can wrap Victoria's gift." "You got her a gift too!?" "Yeah duh she's been dealing with my bullshit for a month now she deserves it." "Wow Em I'm really proud of you getting her a gift." "Yeah yeah you've already told me that now let's go I want to watch some of my shows that I haven't finished." I said as I dragged him out of the mall.
The drive back to my place was full of him just telling me to not fuck up my first date in years or else he's going to kill me for killing my happiness. And the other part was full of him telling what to do since I haven't been on a date in years. Honestly he just made me even more nervous than I was before. I ended up tuning him out because my mind was filled up with questions about what the fuck I got myself into and why the fuck did I listen to Lauren for. Next thing I knew we were in front of my apartment building. "So here we are. Good luck tonight. I wish you all the joy that you'll get tonight." "Yeah thanks." I said with a long sigh afterwards. "Did I make you nervous?" "Yeah a lot." He looks down while say "Yeah I'm sorry. Just be yourself and everything will be fine. Oh and please don't go and fuck her after the date because then it'll seem like you didn't actually want the date." "You know what fuck you." I said while leaving his car with my things. "I love you too Emma!" He yelled after me. I flicked him off without turning around I did not want to see the smirk that I knew he clearly had.

AN- Here's another update sorry it's late. I wrote the first part of this chapter 2 days ago and I couldn't think of anything else to write and how to properly write my words until tonight. I hope you enjoyed and I'll have chapter 3 up by Friday night. Let's see what happens at the date.
