If there was anything that could distract the ever dutiful Chat Noir, it was the beautiful, badass Ladybug.

He could not stop himself from staring as she effortlessly flung herself from building to building beside his half running, half pouncing form, in chase of the super villain currently trying to destroy Paris. Apparently, the akumatized girl called herself Veritas, and was trying to expose him and his lady's secret identities, because of some stupid personal deal.  Stupid Hawkmoth and his akumas.  Couldn't they just get a bit of peace? He had unfinished calculus homework due the next day, goddammit.  He couldn't deny that he wanted to know Ladybug's secret identity, though.

He heard the swoosh of her charmed yo-yo, and Ladybug flew past him.  "Catch up, kitty!" She teased him.  "We've got an super villain to fight, and a city to save!"

"Oh, you're on!" He charged forward, bounding over rooftops, the city of Paris below his feet.  Mainly, he needed a distraction from his, uh, hormonal teenage thoughts. Which he should totally not be thinking about his partner of two years.

Ladybug stopped on a nearby tower, gesturing him to come closer.  He obeyed, leaping off his perch and by her side.  "I've got a plan," she murmured.  Her lips were too close to his ear, and he couldn't help but shiver.  "You go distract her, I'll go around the other side and get her akuma." It also didn't help that her hair smelled really nice.  Chat Noir made a mental note to ask the black haired superhero what shampoo she used.

The green eyed boy nodded, still struggling to keep himself from kissing her right then and there.  He didn't trust his voice- or his mind- enough to let him speak.

"Alright, then." Ladybug zipped off, her small form disappearing behind a building.

Chat Noir leapt onto a nearby light post, bell around his neck tinkling as his tail swished flirtatiously.  "Wassup, Veritas? I heard you like exposing people." For him, flirting with others was a way to get his mind- and his hands and his mouth- off Ladybug.

Veritas smiled, but there was no warmth in it, only a chilliness that seemed to seep into Chat Noir's veins.  "You're very correct, Chat Noir.  And right now?" Her smile turned into a smirk, and the cat-like superhero's heart dropped.  "I feel like exposing you."

Well, shite.

Chat Noir grinned at Veritas, but there was an uneasy feeling in his head.  His lady was stealthily creeping towards the villain, but something was about to go very terribly, horribly wrong.  "Go ahead! I have no secrets." That was the biggest lie he'd ever told.  He was thinking about things good, polite Adrien would never think of, like how Ladybug's creamy skin would feel against his, how it would feel to kiss her full lips again, how it would be like to push her against the wall, her long legs wrapped around him.

Veritas's smirk turned into a full blown grin, which somehow resembled the Cheshire Cat's.  "My, Chat Noir, that's the biggest lie you've ever told.  You have some secrets I'm looking forward to spilling."

The blonde froze, blood turning to ice for a few seconds.  He covered his pause with his signature cat-like smile.  "You took the words right out of my mouth." The only words going through his panic-filled mind were shite and Ladybug.  Veritas could read minds? He was so doomed.  He should've known.  If Veritas told Ladybug, she'd kill him.

"That's exactly what I'll do, then!" Veritas turned around.  "Hey Ladybug!"

Ladybug froze like a deer in the headlights, caught red handed in the act of trying to snatch Veritas's weapon, which happened to be a bandana around her head. "Don't move!" She launched herself at Veritas in a blur of red and black.
