My One and Only

Part 6

Chapter 5

This morning i woke up on the floor. I have no idea how i ended up there. I went downstairs to put a wafle in the toaster. When i went back up my phone was ringing. Dad. Yes finally i thought he'd never call. I answered immediately. When i heard his voice he sound upset. I began to worry.

"Dad, is everything ok?" i asked, scares out of my mind.

"sweetcakes i wont be making it for christmas..." he said slowly.

I began to slowly die on the inside. When i didn't say anything for another lobg minute he spoke.

"GOT YOU!" he laughed.

"DAD! you really ha me thinking that you couldn't. I almost had a hearr attack. " i scowled.

"i sorry sweetcakes i just had to. Where's your brother?"

"He's not home he went to the gym" i lied. I didnt really know where Kendel was.

" Oh ok. Say hi to him for me. I gotta run now. Bye honey. I love you both. "

"Love you too dad. Bye"I said and hung up.

I was so excites to finally know my father was coming home for christmas. I was now at peace. Thankfull that my father had finally called i deicded to make the christmas shopping list. Every year i was the one to do christmas shopping. Kendel would get the tree and the gifts he would be giving. I didn't really complain about christmas shopping. I actually liked it. But sometimes i got real frustrated.

After i finished the list i went upstairs to shower. I loved showering in the morning. It made me feel fresh. Every tim i took a shower i feel like all things dirty wash away too. I especially love wetting my hair. After my shower i sat in my roo looking through an old photo album.

Most of the pictures were from when my mom was still with us. I really missed her. She passed away when i was twelve years old. She died of lukemia. I was so emotionally distraught for days. I wore black for almost two years an people thought i was turning goth. I finally came back to reality when Kendel knocked on my bedroom door.

"whatchya doing" he asked

"looking at some old photos," i said wiping my face. " do you miss mom?"

"well yeah obvioysly"

"me too"

"ok well Niall is coming over. We aee going to go over some football stuff"

"ok. Oh by the way dad is coming for christmas and he says hi" i said as Kendel walked away.

"awsome" he said and dissapeared.

Shortly after Niall arrived, i told Kendel i was going christmas shopping. I was glad we lived a walking diatance from the mall. I went into Walmart first because they were having a huge sale. Turned out that i only had to come to Walmart. I got everything i needed there.

By the time i got home i realized Niall hadn't come for the reason Kendel said. They had gotten the christmas tree. There were already gifts under the tree too so i set off to decorate. After i finished i went straight to bed.
