The cold, bitter December air nipped at my nose. It hurt like a bitch but I made no effort to shield myself from it. In a matter of seconds I knew I'd be in the warm room of my therapists office letting my "stress" out.

Th tiny waiting room had all sorts of encouring posters on it that made me want to rip them off. Nothing about them was true. Friends can't help you, like one of the posters said. Maybe they can but I've never really had friends to help me... The stuffed animals made it nearly impossible for me to sit on the bright blue couch but it was time for me to pour out my feelings to Jenny like every week.

Jenny is a small woman with a polished blonde bob. Her dark blue eyes were usually over mascaraed and her foundation a little too light for her olive skin. She smiled at me and motioned me in. Jenny sat in her big leather chair and sipped her chai latte leaving a big red lipstick stain on the mug.

"So Serena how has your week been?" She gazed at me happily pissing me off.

"It's the same every week, school, cheer then home. I feel like I need a little excitement in my life" I picked the threads of the blanket next to me on the couch. A smile played on my lightly chapped lips. I raised my eyes to meet Jenny's concerned gaze, "and I think my excitement walked out ahead of me..."
