(Ash's POV)

   *Alarm goes off* I wake up, the bright sun shining in my sensitive eyes.
    "Ash, get up!" Laia, my sister, screams up from the bottom of the steep stairs. 
     I finally get the guts to get up off my comfy bed and onto the wooden floor. Today is homecoming, im so excited. I wanted to ask out Will Byers, a boy at my school that's my age. I, to be honest, am very shy so I can't ask him out. Plus, he's always with Dustin, Mike, and Lucas.
     I put on some pants, a shirt, and a cardigan. My makeup is very light.
     My short lavender hair is straightened.
     "Let's go!" Laia says. I get out of my room and hop into the car in a rush.
     (At school)
    Finally, I make it to school. There are tons of teenagers making out in the hall, lots of posters on the dance, and some bullying every few feet I walked. Im, not a bystander, im just to shy.
      (After school)
    "You know, you're gonna have to find someone to dance with," Laia says, curling the last piece of my lavender hair. I look beautiful.
    My hair is curled in tight curls. My makeup is on point. I got some purple glittery, eyeshadow on my lid with a deep, dark purple in the crease. My lips have a dark, purple lipstick.
      My dress is beautiful. It's a dark magenta with light purple sequins.
       My shoes, on the other hand, are silver high heels.
       (At the dance)
   I make my way to a seat. I see will by the punch, getting a drink.
    (Wills POV)
     I see Ash sitting alone. I feel bad, I wanna ask her to dance with me badly, but I don't have the balls to do it. I feel lonely.
     I take one last sip and walk over to Ash.
      Suddenly, I stop myself. "What ya doing here, loser?" Troy comes up to me.
       "T-to dance." I stutter. "Pft, you can't dance."
  (Ash's POV)
     I see Will being picked on by Troy. I have an idea. I get up and walk over.
      "Leave him alone."
