July 2nd 1965
Emma's POV
It was around 3:20 when Ponyboy and I arrived at my house.
"Stay right here." I said.
"Okay." replied Ponyboy. I went into my house. I went up to my room and packed a months worth of clothes because my mom wouldn't be home for a couple months grabbed my hair brush, toothbrush and toothpaste, and my running shoes. It was about 3:35 when I went back out to see Ponyboy pacing
"Pony?" I said
"Yes Emma?" Pony replied
"You good?"I asked.
"Yeah I just have a question."Pony replied
"What's your question?" I asked
"Umm uhhh Emma w-will you be m-my girlfriend?" Ponyboy asked me.
"Yes." I replied with a smile.
"I love you Emma." Pony said
"I love you too Pony." I replied, "can I stay at you house for a while my mom won't be home for a couple months."
"Of course." Pony replied. We walked to Ponyboy's house about half way there he interlocked my fingers with his I looked up at him and smiled. We arrived at Ponyboy's house we walked in side and all eyes were on us.
"Emma's going to stay here for a while because her mom is away." Pony stated. Pony helped me bring my stuff up to the extra bedroom.
"Do you want to go on a walk?" Pony asked.
"Sure." I replied. I put on my running shoes and Pony and I walked out the door.
"Can I have you forever?" asked Pony. I bolted off.
"Only if you can catch me." I yelled at Pony.
"Ugh I'm gonna catch you then." Pony said in response. I ran like half a mile without him catching me and then out of nowhere he engulfs me in a hug.
"Haha guess I get to keep you forever, I love you so much Emma." Pony said
"I guess you do, I love you more Pony." I replied.
"uhh I don't think so Emma." Pony said.
"Well I do so ha." I replied. Pony let's go of me and I run off and climb a tree. After about 5 minutes of sitting in the tree I get bored so I look up and see Pony already up there.
Ponyboy's POV
I have been sitting up in the same tree as Emma just admiring her beauty and how lucky I am to have her as my girlfriend after she's been sitting in the tree for around 5 minutes she looks up and notices me.
"Omg Pony how long have you been here?" She asked me.
"Around 5 minutes longer than you." I reply.
Emma's POV
"Why didn't you say anything?" I ask
"Because you're beautiful and I wanted to admire your beauty." Pony says
"Awww I love you so much." I say as I climb down from the tree
"I love you more." Pony said just dropping down from the tree. We start walking back to Ponyboy's house, as we walk Ponyboy interlocks our fingers when we are about 3 blocks away from Ponyboy's house we hear a car driving behind us and I squeeze Ponyboy's hand really hard and move even closer to him.
"It's okay babe." Pony says. I look behind me and it's the same group of socs that jumped me the first time.
"It's the same socs from last time." I say.
"You're okay I'm right next to you and I swear if a soc lays 1 finger on you I'm going to ruin them." Pony said. But this time the socs just drive right past us. When we get to Ponyboy's house we walk straight over to the couch after Ponyboy sits down I lay with my head on his lap and he starts playing with my hair again.
When I wake up its 2:05am and I look up and Pony isn't there I get up and I go upstairs and look in the extra bedroom and he is there sitting on the bed curled up in a ball.
I go over to him and say, "Pony are you ok?"
He doesn't say anything he just gets up and hugs me, and I hug him back. I see tears rolling down his face when he let's go of me.
"Tell me what's wrong." I said.
"I missed you." Pony replied.
"You could have stayed on the couch with me." I said.
"I was hungry so I got up and ate and I didn't want to wake you up." Pony said quietly.
