Chapter one: Coming Home

Warning, read the introduction before reading this, it has the information about how Naomi looks and how the family members look as well as other important factors for the story.
It's only short so please take the time to quickly read it.)

                     Naomi's POV
Summer break, finally! I get to see everyone! Oliver! Jeremy! Mum! Dad! and I'm even excited to see Evie!
I'm going home! You have no idea how excited I was.

The plane ride back home to Colorado took hours, luckily I fell asleep pretty soon after take off so I wasn't very tired when I finally arrived. Thank God for first class!

As soon as I set foot off the plane I went off to find my eldest brother Jeremy who was picking me up.
I only had a small amount of luggage with me since I was only coming to stay with my family for the summer, but I was contemplating moving back for good and quitting my studies in marine biology to see if I could help with the family business instead.

I soon found Jeremy boredly waiting holding a sign that read my name on it. As I approached I quickly picked up the pace and at some point, I abandoned my luggage to go into a full speed run at my brother and I practically tackled him to the ground wrapping my arms around him tightly pulling him into a hug. "Jeremy!"

He hugged me back tightly before pulling away. "Oh my gosh! You look so different! More mature if that's even possible! Wow"

I smile "and you look like your getting older too" I say in a playful tone.

Jeremy laughs "oh, wow thanks," he says sarcastically. "Everyone else is still dying to see you so we should probably get going so that mum doesn't shoot me for taking too long to bring you back" he chuckles I nod quickly in agreeance running back over to grab my luggage.

We soon reach the car and Jeremy loads my things into the back seat as I hop in the front passenger seat.
Jeremy is a bit different from how I remembered him. For one, he now has quite a decent amount of tattoos and he looks like he's been working out more than when I left.

As Jeremy hops into the front driver's seat, I am bursting with anticipation to see everyone. Excitement is practically taking over my body since I can't seem to sit still. "I missed you so much! and everyone else! But I'm kinda hungry, can we stop for some take away on the way home?"

Jeremy smiles "when are you ever not hungry?" He laughs "Sure"

On the drive home, Jeremy and I talked about everything we've been up to and we stopped to quickly grab some food from our favourite cafe but since we couldn't wait to eat we decided to eat and then continue.

Just as Jeremy is pulling up in the driveway, I leap out of the car before he's even stopped it and I go to bolt inside the house but there's a code activated lock pad on the door.

Jeremy soon comes up beside me seeing my confused expression as to why so high tech and hardcore.
He laughs at me before he quickly types in the code. "Break-ins have been happening in the neighbourhood recently" he informs me.

"Oh, okay. That makes sense, why so high techi techi though?" I inquire still not understanding why its not just a normal lock.

He looks at me and shrugs "I dunno, you know how dad is, go big or go home"

"We are home" I chuckle.

He holds the door open for me and I sprint inside and upstairs to my room jumping on my bed being my first course of action being home.

I bury my face in my pillow feeling the soft cotton of its cover before I roll over to look at the ceiling.
I'm home...

I sigh happily taking in the familiar smells of home..., my old perfume that's smell never quite faded from when I spilt it on the carpet, my vanilla chocolate smelling candle from when I was young that I only used once since I didn't ever want it to fully melt and... Mums Cooking!!!!
